My thoughts exactly. From what I've been told the southern lights are far more spectacular and what's more, due to current atmospheric conditions, are or have been visible from mainland Australia. Apparently from Albany in south west australia. So, no need to hang out with a bunch of Inuits, just grab a can of VB and join the locals down south. And, while you're at it, add salmon fishing to your bucket list and knock it off at the same time.

Would love to visit the isles myself, a few things in that neck of the woods I really should see before my time is over.
