Witch Hazel...what is she good for?

I saw a bottle of Thayer's witch hazel astringent and grabbed one...now I need to know when to use it (lols). Before shaving, after shaving?

I use it after shaving but before aftershave. It depends on the aftershave, some already contain witch hazel and other good stuff.

Ok cool, what does it actually do?

As an astringent it tightens the skin so will help with any minor abrasions, l believe it also has some antiseptic qualities

love my Thayers...but no astringent, I find the toner better - unscented being my preference
