I think what you're saying mirrors the experience of a lot of us here. The Yellow is both sharp AND smooth. Before I "discovered" the Yellow, my top favorite blades were the Nacet and Polsilver, in that order. Now it's 1 Yellow, 2 Polsilver and 3 Nacet.

Wait till you try it in the Rocca... (y)
 
Couldn’t help myself. Out of all the A&E that was on offer this was the best and it’s my Christmas treat/shave. Damn great smell. It’s so much easier when you can turn up in person to smell the product.

The razor needs work and didn't really come shave ready. If you got a razor like this and hadn't used one before you'd ask "What's the fuss about?" I did 2 passes which were so-so before finishing it with a cheap Chinese razor. All's well that ends well.

2 pass WTG XTG = DFS+. Dopp kit shave today, a new Gillette Platinum blade for this shave felt smooth and efficient. My biggest gripe with the Platinum blades are, come shave no4 and they are dead.

The Soap, Stirling - Hot Apple Cider. Scent is medium to strong off the puck. Scent notes, spple, cinnamon, and clove. This is really nice spicey gourmand scent. I have had the opportunity to try hot apple cider on my North American trips and the soap smells pretty much the same. No issues with the cinnamon causing any skin reactions, typical great all rounder Stirling soap properties. A good sweet and spicey winter scent for those really cold days.

A very pleasant and enjoyable shave after growing the beard for 2 weeks it was becoming scruffy and itchy.
The str8 just mowed through with ease and no chance of clogging (y)

Omitted post-shave products from picture, as my tree-stump was getting cluttered. There's another stump on this property from when it was logged in the 20s (ummm, the 1920s I guess I should say) that's easily 12 feet in diameter. I'd have liked to see the tree intact. :cry: Forgot to re-apply sunblock halfway through the afternoon, so I got a bit burnt anyway. :rolleyes: Probably better than nothing, though. I think yesterday's product was better, but I only had a little sample tube. Maybe time to start a new thread here...

Edit: A merry Christmas to everybody at P&C, not forgetting @Monsta_AU who singlehandedly makes it all possible...
