LOL - that is actually when it gets BAD

When you look and look and there is NOTHING you SHOULD buy so you buy some rubbish just in case and it turns out to be rubbish!

That has happened far too much recently :(

So when these gems come up it is especially pleasing

Fathers Day Haul
Body Shop Macca Root Shave Cream and L'Oreal aftershave balm.

The trouble of living in Tassie is there is very little else to choose from locally. Although I have a drawer full of stuff that I am going to take a lifetime to use.

Don't think that's a uniguely Tasmanian problem. There's one store in the whole of Perth that specialises in shaving gear. Don't even know if it's still there. It was hideously expensive and run by some very unfriendly people. I tell a lie, there is a barber in Floreat that sells a few bits and pieces. Nearly all of my favourite stuff isn't or never will be stocked in a brick and mortar shop. Macca Root is a great product by the way.

..........The straight is for show. I could get it honed but would blunt it with my stropping I think - then the shave would be REALLY ugly!

Oh come on Mark. It could open up a whole new world of collecting for you. We're talking relatively cheap, really nice looking seven day sets with ivory scales and all the sharpening stones and leather strops. Really hands on stuff. Together with your on-going Gillette collecting you could really push yourself to the brink of financial disaster. Exciting!

THere's nothing locally. Some barbers are stocking Proraso and Taylors, but that's about it. Some shaveersshops will also stock some brands, but at rapacious prices. $45 for a tub of TOBS? yeah, nah.
