Some US steel this morning, a Genco "Heavy" from Geneva, New York, USA, ⅝ American point finished and maintained on diamond pasted balsa. In its day this razor cost US$1.50 new, about US$165 in today's debased money.

Shave Report: Pre de Provence No.63 was easy to lather and had great performance, nearly as good as SV. Good shave from the Vintage Gillette Tech, only a couple of extra weepers.

Another shave with US steel. This one was with a ⅝ Union "Wedge". Not a real wedge, more like a near wedge. When I received it a couple of years ago, it was in need of a fair amount if restoration. It cleaned up pretty well. The razor is finished and maintained on diamond pasted balsa.
This razor does not shave as comfortably as the US made Genco, but close to it. Maybe it will get there with a few more after-shave refreshes on the diamond pasted balsa.
