Alerts - on-site vs email

Mate just wondering how I can customise my preferences to receive alerts in the website's top banner (right) drop-down but not via email?

My toying with Alert Preferences seems to affect both on-site and email alerts and so I assume there's something super simple I'm missing to turn off email delivery. Posting as a thread, rather than PM, not merely for the buzz of public ridicule, but in case anyone else down the track wants to do the same.

Nope. It's the "I don't want extra email spam and I may accidentally blacklist it which won't help P&C" thread.

Nah, I just don't need my phone to back up with emails and have Tapatalk inform me of the same.
