@LukehGee, Yes, The Dead South are great. It may help that I'm learning banjo (tried clawhammer but not my style. 2 or 3 finger pickin' is for me).

@Blackie Oh nice. What type of Banjo you got? You just teaching yourself or getting some lessons?

I bought an open back a year ago to try and learn, but life (or laziness) got in the way.

I bought a Recording King (RK) open back 5 string.

It came from USA, but took a bit of a hit on the tailpiece...which was bent.
I got one of these beauties to sort the problem.

It looks and sounds great.
I took a couple of lessons in clawhammer but didn't like the style...too frantic.
Settled on old style 2 finger/3 finger picking with the odd bit of bluegrass.
Learning from some books, and a DVD now.
A banjo playing makes anyone smile!
