Blade used: Gillette 7 o'clock Super Platinum Black (3)
  • Well machined for the price.
  • End piece unscrews and screws in smoothly.
  • Rigid clamping of the blade with good tolerances.
  • Heavy, made me take it slow and steady and let the weight do the work.
  • WTG 4.5 No surprises here, similar to my Rocca.
  • XTG 6 Not sure why I went up here, got 3 small nicks.
  • ATG 1 above the lip, 2 everywhere else.
  • Overall, smooth and quite efficient relative to the setting used, with good feedback.
  • Handles quite well for its size and weight.
Cons:
  • Machine marks under the top cap.
  • Red indicator not properly centered (apparently common across the board).
  • Knurling not quite straight and could have been deeper, though I did not have issues with grip.
  • Font used for numbers not really suited for the look of the razor, they could have used a more modern or industrial font.
  • Adjustment ring is a bit stiff which I don't really mind as you wouldnt want to accidentally change the blade gap, but once you start turning it's not the smoothest. This is the biggest con I could say about this razor, but I'm really splitting hairs here. I could still turn it in one hand with my thumb and index finger.
I really enjoyed shaving with the Pearl Flexi. It's a lot of razor for the money, both functionally and physically. I also have to give a shout out to @Ozwhisker for impeccable customer service.
