St James Brushes

Someone bought one a few months back. Cannot remember who, sorry. They are apparently excellent and great value for money.

@Sxot - I believe they are Simpson brushes rebadged as St James.

I have 2 St James of London brushes:
1) a 24mm knot in a Ivory handle that's the same as what @Reegs and @SydBJW have
2) a 24mm knot in a Tortoise shell handle as you've linked to above

The handles are well made and beautiful to hold. The St James logo is painted/embossed but not etched.

The knots are Super Badgers from a well-known and loved English hand-made brush maker. (Begins and ends with the letter "S"...) Need I say an excellent performing brush.

Naturally, with such pedigree, these brushes punch far above their price.

Simpson is one of the makers, the other reputable British Isles makes some as well iirc.

Quite like my Lavender brush.

Thanks for the info which was as I suspected.

That being the case, I would say the knot is (or very close) the Chubby 3 Super... and as such is nothing short of amazing value at $200 AUD - roughly half the price!

Dam... I might just have to get one... or do I put that $200 toward the Shavemac D01 I have been staring down. If only brushes came with free trials.
