I took one for the team today...used a 'The Gentleman' blade for the first time (well I have 50 of them, so time to see if they are any good).
Made in India, and were supplied with the Pearl Flexi.
Put the Flexi back to 5 (usually on 6) but thought best not to get too aggressive at first go.
Well...they are fine. Not stellar, but quite OK.
Have that initial 'prickly' sharpness similar to a new Feather. But shaved quite well.
Not as smooth first few strokes as (say) a Minora Stainless, or a Gillette Winner...but smoothed out as the shave progressed
Not a bad blade, but will see how the longevity is as the week progresses.
If you like being economical in your shaving then these may suit as they don't cost an 'arm and a leg' for 100. Only 360 INR (or currently $AUD 6.65/100).
I have tried worse blades, and better blades.
'The Gentleman' blade is a middle of the road blade. Sharp enough, smooth enough, and cheap enough.
Will I buy more? Probably not as I have better blades I don't mind paying extra for (Rubie, Minora, Gillette Black, Wizamet, Nacet, etc).
But I think you will find them quite OK, and probably worth trying if you haven't already.
