Water composition? Missed this vital factor ...
Typically for this locality (chirping cricket motel):
pH - 7.4
Conductivity - 807
Colour - 2
Alkalinity - 154
DOC - 4
Hardness - 182
and importantly - Turbidity 0.2

In other words, it was pretty good, no complaints (the push button plug in the basin was 95%) and latherability was very good (but I did have good soap):).
But I'm very glad to be home.(y)(y)(y)

Pre-shave: Hot water, Pears soap
Brush: Forgotten Art "Tarkine" 26mm Tuxedo
Soap/Cream: Noble Otter Rawr
Water: Natural dihydrogen monoxide from sky above Great Western Tiers
Razor: Blackland Vector
Blade: Kai PINK (7) !
Post-shave: Shower, La Roche-Posay Hyalu B5 and Anthelios SPF50+

I can only put the longevity of this blade down to the pre-shave routine. 7 days with ANY blade is unheard of for me. For face and head, that's a lot of shaving. Another perfect day in paradise, despite crappy recycled picture...

Pre-shave: Hot Shower

Soap/Cream: Santa Maria Novella Crema da Barba shaving soap
Razor: Muhle Rocca R95
Blade: Personna 'Lab Blue' (5)
Post-shave: Santa Maria Novella Tabacco Toscano splash
Fragrance: Santa Maria Novella Tabacco Toscano EDC

First run of this Platypus! Purchased as part of the group buy but then I picked up another used one and used that (sparingly) since. Love this brush -

Overall shave with the Santa Maria Novella Tabacco Toscano was a fitting first use I think!

Pre-shave: Hot water, see above + Pears soap
Brush: Forgotten Art "Tarkine" 26mm Tuxedo
Soap/Cream: Noble Otter Raw
Razor: Blackland Vector
Blade: Kai PINK (8!)
Post-shave: Shower, La Roche-Posay Hyalu B5 and Anthelios SPF50+

My shave abbreviated this morning, had to take dog to the vet, so I'll spare you the recycled picture. Settled for a 1½ pass DFS, with this magical blade surviving to mow down tomorrow's stubble. When I first started using this razor, I thought the Feather Pro Super might be my "forever" blade. I was wrong, wrong, a 10^3 times wrong. I'm definitely going to score a serious quantity of these Kai blades in 2022.

I try for 7 shaves/blade with the artist club style blades. Checked eBay and you can pick up 200 Kai Captain Titan blades for $188 delivered. @ 7 shaves/blades that equates to around 13.5 cents/shave. I'm happy with that. Not that I'm aiming for the cheapest shave. Mrs Pbgoose worked out years ago that it would've been way more economical to have stuck with the 'carts'.:)

Pre-shave: Hot Shower
Brush: WCS - Honeycomb 26mm tuxedo
Soap/Cream: Strike Gold Shave - Nostalgia
Razor: Homelike Shaving - Colibri
Blade: Gillette - King C Gillette (17)
Post-shave: Murphy & McNeal - Trade Winds / Proraso - Azure Lime PS balm

2 pass WTG = DFS. A good shave but not as good as yesterday's. The same blade in the Lupo 95 was a better shave. With this blade the Colibri has the same blade feel which is minimal although present, slightly less smooth and less efficient than the Lupo 95. Again no issues with the blade exposed tabs and was just as agile getting into all the tight areas under the nose and chin area.

The Soap, Strike Gold Shave - Nostalgia. Scent strength light to medium off the puck, and whilst lathered. Scent notes, Australian Coastal Moss, Lemon, Sage, Geranium, Virginian Cedar Wood. This scent is a homage based on the Australian fragrance House Goldfield & Banks - Pacific Rock Moss.

The scent could be best described as a fresh aquatic scent with a slight woody musky undertone. Citrus top note, green marine middle notes, wood base note. A fairly straight forward scent profile that works. A very easy wearing scent for warm weather daytime use. I would classify the scent as unisex. I have a small sample of the EDP for comparison and the soap stacks up pretty good, to the EDP scent wise.(y)
