I scored this soap from last year's Charity Auction. It's had regular use since, but the level is still above the bottom of the screw thread. I might have to include it in my will...

Your Yaqi Atlantis brush (I presume) is a great looker!! The rhodium Aristocrat/s generation 1 to 4 are all lovely razors, the No; 22 is my "daily" when caravanning, it stays in there 🤞
Yes that's the one
I actually got it for my daughter (5 years old) and she loves it.

How do you tell the generation of the aristocrats?

A beautiful shave this morning using a one hundred year old 6/8 full hollow blade from a lesser known cutler who was located in Brighton/Hove in the south of England. John Ireland had a shop located at 103 Western Road, Hove from 1908-1914 and later at 203a Western Road, Brighton from 1914-1934.

This is an ad from 1908 for a Gillette Single Ring

The shop at 203a Western Road (1914-1934). The highlighted area shows straight razors in the window display. In today's society, he would most likely be the victim of a "smash & grab"!
