I picked up a “pocket” organiser.

The maxpedition mini is a great size in my opinion, really well made.

For what it’s worth it’s resting on my Sord scavenger bag (people ask about it a lot..) I find that having a small kit (pens, paper, knife, torch plus a few personal preferences) to be very handy.
I’m a sucker for good EDC (Every Day Carry for the uninitiated) gear as well as some impractical items.. like a zippo for example..

That was a kickstarter that my mum of all people put me on, clearly my reputation for giving F****s is well established.
If it helps I have a Starfleet badge on there too to help offset it.

All three were nickel plated & they all look great :) I'm not aware of what the average time it takes to get them plated...he got them on 19/10 & he finished them on 10/11. I had a bunch of other stuff coming in to keep me occupied anyway!

I sent Dave my Fatboy and Slim a while ago for a nickel replating, he completely strips them down, straightens and repaints and it takes around 4-6 weeks depending on whether he is working on straights or the multitude of other razors he does. I think his work is superb, he does a tremendous job and the price is very reasonable.

He doesn’t strip fatboys down. He replates whole (I can dig up an email conversation on it). Not sure on slims. Not saying this detracts from his work, but just be aware it isn’t the same level of service you would get from razor emporium.

He had to strip mine down, the guy that sold it to me had used olive oil to 'preserve' it and the oil had become rancid, it was from an ex member here. You are probably correct though on the whole, it is not something I raised with him. I can say definitively though Daves work is superb and substantially cheaper than some of the other options on the market - both of my razors still look brilliant in finish and operation.

Agreed, he did a fatboy for me. Excellent work.

I can also confirm this. I asked him directly and he told me he normally does not fully disassemble the razor.

Phoenix and Beau: Spitfire from Beard and Blade. Beard and Blade use Fastway for delivery which 3/3 deliveries have been stuff ups. I specifically asked them not to send by Fastway this time but they did anyway and it actually got delivered to Dubbo relatively pain free (they don't deliver to address, pick up at an agent). Anybody else had experience with Fastway?
Spitfire gets a run in the morning!

Bummer!!

In Sydney, I've always had good experiences with fastway.
