Pre-Shave: Kiss my Face Olive Oil Soap, cold water
Razor: BBS-1
Blade: Voskhod (1)
Brush: Paladin Chief Strawberry Amber
Lather: Declaration Milksteak kindly donated by @todras
Post-Shave: Alum, Thayers Original Alcohol Free Witch Hazel, South Australian Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil

A superb shave to end the week. This soap is almost too easy to lather. The lather is very slick and has some nice cushion. I never tried the Ikarus base, but this is a great improvement from the standard Declaration base. Many thanks again @todras for the sample!

I hope you all have a fantastic Friday (y)

Pre: Razorock Mr Joe Glycerin soap
Brush: Wild West Brushworks Amethyst Water
Soap: APR Bombora
Razor: WR2
Blade: Astra SP
Post: Stirling MITA balm

Quick shave with no intention of getting BBS all over. Happy with a good shave today, but 1 small lapse in concentration meant a little cut under the chin. I think I was twisting my wrist the wrong way to go chin to ear. Styptic pencil worked a treat!

I must say I love the dramatic poses you all do with your gear for the shave of the day. If Michael Bay ever made a movie about shaving and needed action poses, I'm sure he could find his stock photos here.

Pre-shave prep: Hot shower and face scrub with Nivea Deep Charcoal
Brush: T&H Wellington Super Badger
Razor: Merkur Progress
Blade: Voskhod after maybe 4 shaves
Soap: Razorock xXx
A/S: Marc Jacobs Bang
Music: Foo Fighters All My Life

Razorock make some delightfully cushioning soap. I can use the same tools, same blade and different soap and get an inferior shave. As a musician, I find music an integral part of a shave. Thankfully I refrain from singing whilst shaving.

oops, I forgot to mention what bowl I used and the phase of the moon whence I first laid the cool steel o' the blade upon my cheek.

I just load the brush in the bowl the soap comes in, it ain't rocket science ladies and germs.

This product is so soothing I decided to stick with it. The cream lathers up a storm and even the small boar gets messy. Comparing brushes to see if any of them keep it under control.
Duke was best at controlling the lather because it is so much stiffer. Synth was no messier than usual.
Pre-Shave: Shower - Body Shop Maca Root Aloe Calming Icy Shaving Gel
Brush: Semogue 1460, Muhle-STF, Duke II
Soap: Body Shop Maca Root Aloe Softening Shaving Cream
Razor: GC- 84P
Blade: Polsilver (1 - 6)
Post Shave: Body Shop Maca Root Aloe Calming Post Shave Water Gel

Cold shower and shave
Merkur 1904/42c
Personna lab blue (7ish - I lost count)
Proraso Green
Omega 49
RE-lather + APR Festivus

In the middle of this heatwave, there is only one soap to choose. I will always need to have a tub of Proraso Green on hand for days like this. 3 pass BBS and this blade is only now showing some resistance to the ATG pass.

Blade: Feather (1)
Pre: Shower
