I see the mods are slacking again and have not yet started a new thread for August so here it is.

What have you got on order / has arrived in August.

I've had a busy little day today.

18 bottles of wine
Asus Nexus 7
(Real) leather Kindle case for Mrs Egg
and these french razor blades. If there wasn't a little tear in the cardboard I would be tempted to just leave them in the display pack.

The mods didn't start an August thread because we knew you would start one yourself Eggy.

Don't get too lippy - I'm up there in a week...

I have no acquisitions en route because I have everything I need and I am going on holidays shortly and Darwin is an expensive bloody town to be in.

Hardly a surprise SSD Drive

Yup I got a new SSD drive, well not exactly true its my old SSD drive come back to life :amazed: Happy happy happy. All the photos (which of course I had not yet told herself were lost. I simply clicked on windows explorer and there in all its splendiferous glory was the drive. Set it back to being the boot drive and ignored all the "lost due to hibernation" messages and back everything came. Of frabjous joy and extybubbles. Immediately copied all the photos to a safe place and back we are. :)

It was on sale for $35 marked down from $45 but I got the last one - there was one Floris JF refill left

Almost had a rush of blood and bought a shirt too but resisted!

Turned up today, and very well packaged they were too. Each type of blade was wrapped in its own bubblewrap, and then the whole package had more bubble around it.

I now have lots of new (old) blades to play around with.

If anyone has any use for the blue blades or the injectors please let me know, or they will be heading back to the bay soonish.
 
Grabbed a few sticks of La Toja from G&C....also grabbed a few of the Austrian made Haslinger shaving soaps, the Seaweed and Sheeps Milk. Had to grate these two up to press them into plastic containers for use. Don't smell overly impressive but have good reviews wherever I've seen them spoken of.

OK, OK, so maybe I was fibbing. Gee the razors WOULD look nice in them though wouldn't they ...

Look great. Do you want an injector to try the injector blades in?

Are the blue blades NOS? I might have a case needing blades ...

I don't think I am brave enough to bring another razor into the house. I am still wondering how to explain all these extra blades, and the freebie razors which came with one of the packages that are still to come.

I haven't unpacked them from the bubblewrap that they were shipped in yet, but I am happy enough to send them over and let you decide which ones you want. I'm really not that fussed about selling 25 blue blades on ebay, they don't seem to sell for much normally.

Ah, tax return time :cheesy:

-40" Samsung TV (quite an upgrade from the 24" screen we've been using in our home theatre for the last 4 years)
-A nice Seiko automatic timepiece (SKX007K, for those interested)
-Daria complete series on DVD (I'm sure this was around $80 when released, only $28 from BigW now).
-Another Simpsons brush! The magnificent Simpson COLONEL X2L in best badger.

I am useless at this tax return thing, last year I ended up owing money! What do you claim to be able to get so much back?
Be careful with your answer as we have a boring accountant amongst us who works in government.

Maybe he can give us some hints? Oh, I forgot, he is an accountant - so nothing comes free.

Simply put- I pay too much tax in the first place. The reasons for this date back a couple of years when the corporation I work for restructured and we were given the option at the time to either continue paying our current tax rate (and possibly end up owing tax) or to increase our tax rate pre-emptively. I chose the later, and I haven't bothered to re-adjust it since. I know many would argue that there are better ways to make that money 'work for me' during the year, but I don't mind. It's always a nice 'bonus' each tax time.

My dad is also an accountant, so I hold nothing against them :laugh: I actually get my own tax done by someone else though as dad tends to specialise in GST/BAS stuff these days.
 
Got some goodies as well

Two lamps for my rear projection TV and 45 slick schicks still in original packaging including one with a 3 for a $ sticker.
These have been cpming via uSA based son for some time. The lamps I got from amazon and paid about 1/4 the price of buying locally.
 
Have some Bodyshop macca root and gentleman's refinery black ice? on the way from a chap on B&B .....I hope, still no sign of it yet!
