I've decided to prep my new El Druida brush, and everything looks great so far.

There was no funky smell or lose hairs that have come out while I was prepping the brush. I'm really looking forward to how the brush will perform on the weekend (y)

I decided that my El Druida brush needed a mate, so I placed an order for a barbershop styled handle from Javier. Ordered it 6 weeks ago & it just arrived yesterday. I love this guy's work as the brush is as beautiful as the first one I got from him. The handle changes color from green to blue depending on the angle and the light. Brush itself is Manchurian badger, which has been great to use from experience. There is really something to getting a brush that's made to order (y)(y)(y)

Proper newbie question....but what is involved in your prep..?
Before using any new brush I get, I would wash it a couple of times using shampoo or brush cleaners like the one from TSW. Most animal hair brushes have a bit of funk in them plus they’ve had time in a workshop, so cleaning & drying them up a couple times before using it on your face makes sense. Lathering with your favourite soaps also doesn’t hurt in prepping your brush (y)

What's the spec's on that one? 26mm as well? Very Nice.
Yup, 26 mm as well but the loft is slightly higher with barbershop style :)

Makes sense....I've just lathered them up a few times and then cracked on...putting up with the funky smell!

That I really like. What cost delivered and link?

Funky badger smell is like new car smell :D

Car covered inside with wet badger fur. Oh so appealing :)
