That would hurt my testicles for the price I’ve just checked at Nicks website, how much did you get it on special??
For those who like the smoothness of Speyside malts, they don't get much better than Aberlour. My own preference is for the peat-driven malts from Islay, especially Caol Ila, Ardbeg and Lagavulin...$150, only a 500ml but came with a strong recommendation. Sold out now.

Philistine! There's more to Irish whiskey than what Jameson's has to offer. Try some pot still Redbreast or Middleton Barry Crockett legacy and get back to me.I’m not touching the Irish and the American Whiskey..... I love Whisky not Whiskey.

Let's not forget closer to home: there are now as many distilleries in Tasmania as fleas on a dog's back.
Let's not forget closer to home: there are now as many distilleries in Tasmania as fleas on a dog's back. I have yet to try very many of them, as they tend to be expensive and come in small bottles. My favorite (so far) is Hellyer's Road peated whisky.
Also, lots of good things have been said about offerings from Japan, where they take their whiskies pretty seriously.
Totally agree, Australia produces some great whisky. I was gifted a tasting set from white possum a couple of years ago which is a great introduction to Aussie whiskyLet's not forget closer to home: there are now as many distilleries in Tasmania as fleas on a dog's back.
