It's been 7 days and no shipping notification from Bernd, or anything beyond the initial order confirmation.

Am I being impatient, or do I send him an email enquiring about it?

The one time I ordered from Bernd I had the initial confirmation that had an estimated arrival date from memory and that is when it arrived :)

Think I did get an email when it was shipped with a tracking number as well.

Are you getting a standard or custom brush?

I would wait a few more days (maybe to Friday), the brush will be worth it when it arrives.
 
Don't know if it makes a difference but it is summer holiday time in Germany.

I recall @alfredus mentioning that Bernd is currently on holidays. Not sure when and how long. I'm sure that our resident German and Shavemac expert (as well as Lathermeister, Expensive Brush Guru and Stainless Steel Razor Specialist) will be able to have some idea. :whistle:
 
That's too much pressure @filobiblic - but as far as I can recall, Bernd takes his holidays in August?

I think it is perfectly fine to send a polite Email after 1 week, inquiring, if there are any issues with the order.
 
He was away but came back to work on the 9th. The confirmation email said two days to post but also said 4-6 days delivery which I find hard to believe. No shipping confirmation has been received. Maybe there is a backlog from his holidays. It was a custom, yes. I shall email and ask for an update.
