Original patent 1913 and originally known as the Finney, after William C Finney who patented it.Patent sold in 1930. Apparently the Superman name predates the superhero but I don't know when these were actually made. Lots of information here; http://theoriginalsafety2.com/thread/1529/superman
I will post in SOTD when I've given it a try, looking forward to that.
Maybe, just maybe,Jerry and Joe were sitting one day and one said " I like the name of that razor.I reckon it would be a great name for a comic superhero".

Epsilon Horse Hair Brush
26mm Knot
50mm loft
50% Mane hair, 50% tail hair
Really pleased with this brush on receipt. It feels great. I was a little nervous as some older posts about the Epsilon horse hair brush described a fair bit of scritch, but I'm amazed at how soft it feels. Can't wait to give it a run tomorrow. No nasty odour either.
@Gifts&Care.com were great to deal with. We had some early misunderstanding (probably my fault for the way I worded the request) but they were very helpful in sorting it out. Thank you Mamen.:)
Thanks to @alfredus also, it was one of your posts suggesting try Epsilon that 'enabled' this purchase.

Very nice.... especially for chaps lucky enough to have a Weber Head. Just wish I was one of them.

I had a Weber [head] with a Bulldog handle - sold it to somebody who appreciated it more. This will just be a spare 'in case' :)

Stray whisker and vshod.

Went for a cheap boar brush and stand, got the EdT for some free shipping:cautious:

Vshod was great, he threw in 4 extra blade packs and that cool key ring!

Anyone got any tips for the boar brush?

For the brush, wet the bristles for a couple of days (i.e. inside a wine cup, but not letting the water touch the handle). It may help soften it.
BTW, how was your experience with vshod? I am tempt to buy some blades and alum there, but some of the things I saw on their web make me suspicious... like this brush:

This yaqi brush is listed as 22 mm knot with a cost of 159 AUD, while at yaqi is listed as 24 mm knot and 36 AUD

I have only purchased blades from them in the past, nothing else. My experience though was very good, with clear communication, fast shipping and very good customer service, including throwing in a bunch of freebies with my purchase.

I do agree though that some of the prices are ridiculous. The things that are listed for reasonable prices though I personally wouldn't hesitate to buy after my experience with them.

I agree with @Dustin L

That brush is pretty dodgey but all he is doing is just marking up the price.

The blade prices though seem pretty reasonable. The Polsilvers were 1.5 a packet. The order was shipped the same day, and I was emailed photos of the parcel.

Also he threw in a few free blade packs.
