New paladin release imminent

please allow me to add my opinion,
why we want paladin brushes so much???
I have 2 brushes from paladin,
apart from the brushes, I have enjoyed my interactions with Ken discussing brushes and wet shaving overall.
Ken is a Gentleman to the core with excellent knowledge of brushes a very good communicator and had been producing stellar brushes as evident in the last 2 batches

why he can only put up a couple of dozen is because it is a family run operation very much like Wolfman and wolf whiskers ( both solo operators )or our very own Shaver Heaven and we all know that quality.

To personally select each knot carve each handle choose the rod
its a very personal process and I for one am glad ken has started paladin

I guess that is what is recognised and appreciated by all of us, leading to sold out labels within minutes of the brushes coming up
now let me set my alarm clock for tonight [emoji1][emoji482]

Raj - just in case the Aussie humour didn't translate ...

I agree with all you have said based on what I've heard from others. Objectively is an an INSANE process but we stick with it because Ken and his work ARE quality and we do appreciate it - almost to the point of obsession :)

on that note I would seriously request our specialist /senior forum members to look at a paladin group buy

I believe it's one of the paths that @alfredus is pursuing. He also has 2 Paladin brushes and knows how special they are. It depends on many factors on whether it will be able to go ahead as a Paladin brush- but he's certainly trying!!!

Anyone get lucky?
Due to my toddler waking me at 2 I thought I'd have a look. I was only interested in a butterscotch Chief, but thought I'd try my hand at snagging anything, just to test out how hard it would be.
I could not get a sniff. Everything sold within a fraction of a second. It was insane. I can only conclude that I got very lucky last release.

So I missed it ....

Hey - Happy shaving :)

Really? I did some test runs too, but unless I'm not doing something wrong, I managed to add two brushes into the cart and went all the way to PayPal screen, on two separate occasions. A PK-47 Briar and Chief Disco.

I did kept refreshing the screen and as soon as it shows up I snagged it.

Or just because I managed to get it to the PayPal screen, doesn't mean that I got it?

You need to put in cart, checkout and then make payment.
It's when you hit PayPal or pay that it tells you you missed out. It's a frustrating system. But probably saved me $300

I got all the way to the page in paypal where you select where to ship it to and which account to pay for. AUD$300 excluding shipping made me hesitated.
So I am basically just one click from sealing the deal.

Once it's in your cart, it's reserved for you for up to 5min. UNLESS someone has already has it "reserved" and checks out faster than you. So reservation basically means nothing as far as I can tell. That's what the site tells you when you put it into your cart at any rate. It makes no sense unless it allow more reservations than the total quantity allowed. I happened to be awake just after two am and put a "disco" in my cart but went no further. It said there were 3 available which was the total amount so I like to think I could have had it but who knows.

"We believed that posting photos in advance of this release was a good idea. And I still think it was. But I did not expect it to solve the fundamental problem, which is that we can't make enough brushes to meet present demand. We posted photos of the 23 brushes two days ago. By the time they started going on the shelf at 11:00 Central today there had been over 800 views. During the approximately 1 hour it took for all 23 brushes to be uploaded and purchased, there were more than 10 different people in the store for every brush. On average, each brush was in about 4 separate shopping carts at the same time."
