Recommend me some new soaps

Hi All,

I am in the market for some new soaps. I had many favourites years ago castle Forbes lavender, trumpers rose violet and almond as well as TOBS.

Currently I have

Proraso
Shaver Heaven Movember
Body Shop Maca root

I normally like the almond, lavenders, rose etc. With all these new artisans around its hard to choose

Any recommendations would be appreciated as I'm due for a soap buying spree

@Clarky you must try these soaps and you'll love it (y)

1. Haslinger Schafmilch Sheep Milk & Lanolin (very similar to MWF)
2. LEA Classic Shaving Soap
3. La Toja Shaving Soap Stick
4. Mitchell's Wool Fat - you'll love the FAT!
5. Tabac Soap

If you like almond scent type soap try Cella (y)

Thanks for the recommendations guys. I did use Mitchell's wool fat many years ago and enjoyed it

IMHO... A month or two ago I would have said go local and get something from Shaver Heaven but unfortunately that is now longer an option. The Yanks seem to be masters at stuffing things up but from my experience they make damn fine soaps.

For tallow based look at Barrister & Mann, for vegan look at Soap Commander. Both are great soaps. The Pommy soaps in my opinion are mostly overpriced and under performing.
 
I have never tried Arko, heard a lot about it, but never tried it.

As for Shaver Heaven, I have the Movember still which I love, it was a shame to log on here after a long break to realise they are no longer around.

Will of Barrister & Mann makes great soaps, @Clarky. You won't be disappointed.
You might want to try his new Glissant formula soaps - have heard they are sensational. I'm yet to try this new formulation, but the existing 3 B&M soaps I have are all excellent.
 
I can recommend anything by Barrister and Mann - Cologne Russe, Lavanille and Seville are probably my faves.
There is a large range of sample soaps for sale in the B/S/T section here for $50 - this would give you exposure to a good range of different soaps that you could then buy full sized versions of!!
