The knot looks very loose compared to your Omega.
What implications does that have? They both have the same sized knot so shouldn't the backbone be the same?

Excuse the ignorance but I'm very much a novice when it comes to brushes. I've just gone for appearance thus far haha.

Brush: Duke 2
Razor: Fatip Gentile
Blade: Gillette Silver Blue
Soap: Meissner-Tremonia Mint Ice Menthol
A/S: Homemade Menthol Splash

Very enjoyable shave, the Meissner soap lathers up very nicely. Not exactly ice like but still left a nice cooling sensation on the face. Followed by my own menthol splash and my face was nice and cool for an hour or so.
I'm very impressed with the new Fatip Gentile, great plating on both the head and handle, blade alignment can be a bit tricky but once I got it even it gave a really nice shave. Not exactly gentle but certainly a lot more usable than the open comb version.

How are you finding the SOC brush? I've been eyeing it off for a while but hard to justify.
It's akin to Nike, just do it!

First try with this soap and I love the scent, great lather too!

Razor: Feather AS-D2 recently purchased from @Mark1966
Blade: Feather (0)
Soap: Shaver Heaven Movember
Brush; Shavemac 24mm bulb two band
Post: Alum

First shave with a new razor. it is very efficient. Had a very close and smooth two pass shave. Still have to get used to the razor but I can see why people really like it.

Soap as usual as anything made by @Anthony preformed great and I really enjoy the scent.

Feather with a Feather - what could go wrong @SydBJW !!!

The Feather (razor) does take a little while to get dialled in but it is very nice and extremely precise as a shaver I found.

Three pass shave to a BBS. I press a good amount into my bowl and lather away, adding water as I go. Brilliant soap with excellent qualities. Coming up to twelve months into my journey as a wet shaver I am happy to say it just gets better. Joining this forum has improved the shaves and the fun immensely.

Face Wash : PAA Menthol Glycerine Soap
Pre-Shave : Alt Innsbruck Emulsion
Brush : Plisson
Soap : Van Yulay Bay Rum
Razor : Nakayama Tamahagane Kamisori
After Shave : Trumper Lime Skin Food, Trumper Lime Cologne

A great but slow shave today. The Van Yulay Bay Rum has a wonderfully complex fragrance - it's difficult to identify even the ingredients you know must be in there. The lather is good, but no competition for the real heavy hitters of the soap world. The razor... This Kamisori commands my unconditional respect. It's made from Samurai Sword steel (Tamahagane) which the Japanese have spent centuries improving in order to do just one thing : take an insanely sharp edge and keep it as long as possible. And this razor is indeed insanely sharp. In practice it means that anything less than 110% concentration on shaving can have consequences.....

Finished a very smooth shave off with a double dose of Trumper's Lime.

This is one good lookin' brush

Face Wash : Musgo Real Lime Glycerine Soap
Pre-Shave : Proraso Green Pre-Shave
Brush : Simpson Duke 2 Best
Soap : Tabac
Razor : Fatboy D3 (5)
Blade : Astra SP (1)
Shave Balm : Alum, Thayers, Trumpers Coral Skin Food

First time out with the Fatboy and I'm in love. It fits so beautifully in my hand and is just the right weight. The razor equivalent of perfect pitch.
Still trying out the Proraso. Not sure if it does anything, but I've had good shaves each time using it. Need to try a week without it.
The Tabac gave me lots of slippery goodness. Three passes gave me a DFS with no irritation. Maybe time to crank the Fatboy up a notch.

Brush : Semogue 1800
Soap : SH Hot Buttered Rum
Razor : #102 Ikon on Weber Wave
Blade : Voskhod (1)
Post Shave : Thayers Orig; Speick

So had to use my go to setup for today's shave to evaluate the #102 received yesterday (not expecting to get it right first go though). Wow is all I can say. Thoroughly impressed. Less audible and feels more mild than the 39C, but every bit as efficient and far more comfortable for me. Sitting here I couldn't be happier with the bbs result and lack of irritation. Went WTG, XTG and a couple of touch ups. I could have easily gone ATG with no irritation I think, not that it was needed.

Have decided my next hardware purchase will be a good quality badger. Happy for suggestions (both face and bowl lather, mainly use hard soaps) :) Was thinking a fan thater/rooney/shavemac or simpson would be the go?

Not a regular DE user but I really like the lines/profile/look of Fatboys.

Brush: Duke 2
Razor: Fatip Gentile
Blade: Gillette Silver Blue
Cream: Steatfields Avocado &Lime
A/S: D.R. Harris Pink

Another great shave with the Fatip. The SB Blade has had its last shave though, don't know why but these blades just don't last for me.
The Steatfields cream is not the best, doesn't lather as well as TOBS or GFT, less cushion and glide and requires more product.
