Soap/Cream: Australian Private Reserve (APR) Coeur de Vert shaving soap

Soap - D.R. Harris Windsor
Razor - Rockwell 6S (4)
Blade - Gillette Platinum (5)
Post - Stirling Bergamot Lavender splash

Another truly excellent shave which was ample after 2 passes, but a third on the neck added a touch more closeness. Still hammering the puck and at last check, was averaging around 8-9 grams for every 5 shaves. I'm gonna go out on limb and guess i'll be done on Christmas Eve. :woot:

Very nice. Orangey citrus and black tea scent. The scent with the aftershave does not last long though, maybe 4 hours max. Perfect for a scorching hot day though.

The soap performance is great. Lathers up nice, fast and slick. The scent strength on the soap is about a medium. It does not really hang around after a rinse

I Coloniali / Paladin PK47 / Schick Injector / TSW Afterbalm

Hi guys been a while since I posted a SOTD. Bit of a perfect storm of travel, and getting into groove of using pretty much the same kit every day. Not much point posting the same SOTD. Also changed my phone and lost the authorisation codes to log back in to P&C. :rolleyes:

I seem to have found a sweet spot using Washpool Farms shave soap - I finished the tub. I also used the Shick injector for almost two months solid, every day. While it first seems small and light, I think this is actually an advantage - means zero pressure and great manoeuvrability.

As the weather warmed up in Sydney, I moved away from splashes, and just used a drop of macadamia and almond oil or TSW balm for post shave.

Used an EDT/EDP (CH for men) for scent. Found a sort of signature combination that worked for me.

I think I benefited from not changing products every day, got consistently good shaves and my skin was great with no cuts or weepers.

So having dispatched the Washpool Farms, I'm attacking the I Coloniali. But I definitely think I will be sticking to the more traditional soaps and ones that are minimally scented or use EO for fragrance.

By checking in less often, I also saved a fortune and curbed my FOMO on shaving related products. So win-win :)

Post-shave:- Thayers Witch Hazel & Tea Tree Oil / Lucky Tiger Aftershave & Face Tonic
Fragrance:- YSL L’Homme
 
Pre: Warm water, Crew Oil
Razor: Gillette Fatboy D4 (5)
Blade: Gillette Silver Blue
Bowl: Handmade bowl, Mk2
Brush: RazoRock Silvertip Synthetic
Soap: APR Coolabah
Post: APR Coolabah Splash

Using my birth year razor paired with my first Artisan soap and splash. Simply majestic. :)

Once it's done are you going to get a Windsor refill, or try another DR Harris scent?

Not for several years I imagine. It’s good soap for sure but I have lots of others taking up space. I’d probably want a stick when time comes to get another travel stick so of the scents available it would be Arlington.
How are you finding the DRH?

Loving the Arlington. Scent, latherability, slickness and cushion are all on the money for me. Now keen to try out the other scents. How would you describe the Windsor? Arlington is very much a citrus scent, so is a good match for my favourite aftershave (lucky Tiger)

Post: AP Reserve Passione

Wasn’t sure how the Treet would be but it was reasonable enough. I wouldn’t imagine I’ll push it too far, maybe 2 shaves is enough per blade. We’ll see.

This Passione is ideal for a nice fresh finish for a Wednesday. Suits my passion fruit chia pod breakfast!

Good to hear you’re mastering this soap! To me, the Windsor is lightly fragrant but very clean and crisp smelling. Not soapy smelling at all. I’d happily use in any weather, warm or cool and it goes with any aftershave.
I’ve had it for years, so to use it up, I grated it to make for easy loading. The puck weighed 80g before doing this.

another nice shave with this awesome gear. such a nice scent and without doubt the APR soap/splash gives me the best post shave feel from any product i own.
