Pre-Shave: Kiss my Face Olive Oil Soap, cold water
Razor: RazoRock Stealth Slant V1
Blade: Voskhod (1)
Brush: Maseto 2-band Finest
Lather: Stirling Bay Rum
Post-Shave: Alum, Thayers Original Alcohol Free Witch Hazel, South Australian Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Always a bit sad, when I use this razor - it is one of my all time favorites and provides such a smooth shave...but sadly it is out of production.

The Maseto is still the best budget badger in my books - wonderfully soft yet great backbone and density.

I hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday (y)

Pre: Hot Shower
Razor: Timeless 0.95 SB
Blade: Rapira (2)
Brush: Omega Boar
Soap: B&M Reserve - Lavender
Post: APR Florian

I found that the boar didn’t produce as good or as much lather as my Yaqi synthetic on the reserve soap. I also had to add more soap from the tub for the last pass. Nevertheless, a fantastic shave with the timeless, that Rapira blade is one very smooth blade.

Brush: RR 400
Razor: Merkur 34C HD
Blade: Polsilver SI (1)
Pre: Shower + Nivea Face Wash
Soap: Face Fat Green Fougere
Post: Thayers Lemon & Aloe Vera Witch Hazel + Brut splash

A fantastic prework BBS this morning. I echo @tim33z thoughts on the 34C (y) Surprising what difference a blade can make as the Polsilver shaved effortlessly with not drag or irritation. I love the ease of use and the shorter handle allows for greater control. I'm enjoying the performance from the soap even if the grassy scent is a tad too strong for my liking. Finished off with some Witch Hazel & Brut splash... Happy shaves!

I have found the same. For me lathering the reserve base is best done with a synthetic

the synthetic kills the boar in every way, but this could be that my boar is still being broken in? dunno i guess time will tell...

I have also made an excellent lather with the yaqi silvertip badger, but that one loves to hog a lot of it and still not up to the quality of the synthetic. what synth did you use?
