Pre-shave: Warm Water
Brush: Yaqi - Moka Express 26mm 2 band best
Soap/Cream: Wholly Kaw - Fougere Mania
Razor: Karve CB - SB (F)
Blade: Personna - Satinex 2000 Platinum Plus
Post-shave: - WK - Fougere Mania AS splash & balm

2 pass WTG + touchups = DFS+ daily shave. These blades are about medium sharpness and decent smoothness. They are supposed to Personna Platinum's marketed for the Italian market. To me that felt possibly less smooth. Tommorow's shave which has already happened, I have used an original Israeli made Personna Platinum for comparison. One thing for certain they are no Russian made Gillette blade, totally different face feel.

The Soap, Wholly Kaw - Fougure Mania. Scent strength light to medium for soap, splash, and balm. Scent notes, Click here. This is Wholly Kaw's take on a floral fougure scent. Typical with WK it's not strong scent off the tub, splash, or balm, although on the dry down and lasting several hours later, I can still smell light whiffs of of the powdery tonka bean and the distinct lavender and neroli floral notes. The Neroli is a nice addition to the typical fougere lavender. It adds that extra punch in the middle notes with it's distict sharp and vibrant floral highlight.

Forgot I had this one in the back of the soap repository. Found a few other goodies while cleaning up. So yes I like the scent, clean, fresh, and vibrant for a fougere. A nice pairing as a spring time scent for casual occasions.(y)

Brush: TF Customs Green Swirls & Transparent 27mm Rhodium Silvertip
Razor: Merker 34C
Blade: Gillette 7 O'Clock Yellow (5)
Pre: Shower
Soap: Squadron Soaps Dispatch Rider
Post: Brut A/S Splash // Stirling Soap Co. Unscented Balm
WTG, ATG, Touchups = DFS+

The blade bumps the shave up from a DFS to DFS+ but still not as close as I'd like around the chin area.

Stay Safe & Happy Shaves!

Pre-shave: Hot Shower
Brush: Vintage butterscotch Simpson shaving brush
Soap/Cream: Stirling Soap Co Sharp Dressed Man shaving soap
Razor: Muhle Rocca R95
Blade: Astra Superior Stainless (2)
Post-shave: Stirling Soap Co Sharp Dressed Man splash / balm
Fragrance: Stirling Soap Co Sharp Dressed Man EDT

OK, so it might not have bear/baby/mammoth/donkey etc tallow in its base, and it might not have the best artwork on the packaging, nor the fanciest names - but gee the Stirling soaps are solid performers (and great value in their large containers). Thanks again to @Ozwhisker for establishing Artisan Arcade and ensuing that they are far more readily available in Australia!

(PSSST, I hear that the Bergamot Lavender is pretty good ...)

Pre-shave: warm shower followed by a light application of King of Shaves gel while working up my lather
Bowl/Scuttle: Timeless bowl
Brush: Semogue 620 - all important black handle
Soap/Cream: Traditional Barbers Shave Cream with a few drops of glycerine
Razor/Blade: Gillette Super Speed with Gillette 7 O'clock Green blade
Post/After-shave: T.N. Dickinson Witch Hazel, Nivea Men Sensitive Post Shave Balm, I remain a long time user of Aveeno Baby Soothing Relief Moisture Cream for post-head shave and have used it for years on face but now replaced by Nivea
Fragrance: none
Passes: 3-pass face, 2-pass neck, single pass on head - very light tidy up with Schick I1 injector

Head shave Razor/Blade: Leaf Shave with Derby's

had this shave about 9:30 last night and face still feels great with chin area still super smooth wtg. nicked my lumpy head a couple of times due to rushing and being complacent with the Leaf - head nicks bleed forever so the stypic got a bit of a workout. very happy with the face shave and would rate it DFS all the way though weird growth pattern under the chin and parts of my neck mean I will probably never find BBS nirvana but I'm ok with that.

How’s your new brush getting along? What good and bad about this brush

to be honest with you, I much prefer any of the yaqi's i have. This G4 knot is very similair to my RR BC Silvertip plissoft knot.

The hairs themselves are quite soft but what i dont like about it is its stiffness, this may not be an indication of the knot itself as it might be like that due to the glue bump. I still get a nice lather from it but def like using the yaqi's more as they splay a lot nicer.

I also prefer a bigger handle as it sits more ergonomically in my hand.

I've been meaning to ask, are these your own paintings? And if so, do you paint them with SOTD and lather shots in mind? If so, keep it up
Thank you very much - they are my wife's paintings...and as with everything else she does what she wants to do...I just make it work somehow :D

What's the loft height on the 23mm G4, otherwise, IF the loft height is roughly less than 54mm. Say yours might be around 50mm might be too springy and doesn't splay very well, I also understand about the glue bump can be an issue as well.
