Afternoon shave after a nice hike. The negroni hit the spot. Maybe a whisky in future.
Off now to see Casablanca on the big screen.

How's that YAQI Slant?
Pre-shave: Hot Towel
Brush: TroyCraft “Green is nice” with YAQI Silvertip knot
Razor: YAQI Slant
Blade: Astra
Soap: Chiseled Face Ghost Town Barber
Post-shave: Chiseled Face Ghost Town Barber
What to say about Troy's brush, that I haven't said before - It's stunning!
How's that YAQI Slant?
Some of the reviews I've read say it's quite aggressive, even for a slant.I really like it.
I felt like a real novice when I first started using it because I'd cut myself up a bit and started to get a bit gun shy. That was kind of ridiculous since I Iove using straight razors. Once I started to treat it with the respect I do with a straight, I really enjoyed using it.
It's definitely not an every day razor but it's my go to when I haven't shaved for more than a couple of days.
Did I say that? Ooh. That must have been the whisky talking, what would I know?...After advice from @Gargravarr I shaved with a forced steep angle and result was 2 x WTG = BBS (1st pass OC, 2nd pass SB)

IF RazoRock ever starts making the Wunderbar Slant again, I would highly recommend it.It's the only slant I've ever used so can't compare, but it is aggressive. You can certainly feel the blade against your skin.
I've love to buy another brand of slant one day.
