It's nice to see that although you must have at least a brush for every day of the year by now, you appear to have some favourites among them ;) (y)

Making a start on a fresh puck of Windsor. This is my third since @rhodes96 gifted this bowl to me a while back. I hope he's OK, we haven't heard from him for a long time...

More of the same :)
I think these DE blades may last forever being 2nd pass after str8

Razor: Filarmonica Doble Temple 14
Brush: Unidentified, UK made bristle brush
Soap: Storybook Soapworks "Midnight Embers"
After-shave: Storybook Soapworks "Midnight Embers"

A friend of mine wanted me to try this Filarmonica, he was unsure of his honing/stropping skills, because he claimed this razor was irritating badly his skin.

Despite having lost quite some real estate, there was nothing wrong with the razor, besides behaving much closer to a 1/2 hollow than a full hollow, nor indeed with his honing skills, the shave was supreme. Perhaps the point was a bit lacking, but that's nitpicking.

I have no idea about the origins of the brush (besides the country), I got it in a lot along with some razors to restore. It is my first pure boar brush, count me impressed.

Rest of the week...

Thanks to the lovely, and knowledgeable gentlemen at atgshaving, the brush is no longer unidentified, it's a Vulfix VS/1.

Family Xmas party shave: Due to multiple party clashes on Xmas day, my family decided to celebrate Xmas one week earlier. Proraso makes a great lather and provides great performance. To me the scent smells a bit like Spearmint chewing gum with mid strength and a mild menthol cooling. The KCG is a very mild razor for me, milder than the 34c, so the shave was an easy going DFS.

The Gear:

+ Pre Shave: Lucky Tiger Liquid Cream
+ Brush: DSC “9Sky” with 24/54 APShave Cashmere
+ Soap: Proraso Green Jar “Super Formula”
+ Bowl: Dscosmetic ABS “Flower”
+ Razor: King C. Gillette with blue handle
+ Blade: Gillette Silver Blue (1)
+ Splash: TN Dickinsons Witch Hazel with menthol & teatree oil
+ Balm: Lucky Tiger Vanishing cream
+ After Shave: Proraso Green AS
+ Moisturiser: MooGoo Natural Full Cream – Hydrate [A]

Great shave this morning.

Slowly getting acquainted with the Blackbird Ti. It’s so nimble.

Also been experimenting with using two razors in one shave. The main razor for the three passes, and then a super mild one for the touch ups. It’s kind of like using a fine grit for polishing. I find that a lot of damage can be done with polishing too hard. But with something like the ASD2 you couldn’t get razor burn if you tried.

Brush: Vie Long horse
Razor: Blackbird Ti (cut), Feather ASD2 (polish)
Soap: PAA Cavendish
Finish: Witch hazel and STM cream

Another photo bomb from the cat😻
