Since this WS came with a stroppring device, strop and cutting paste I thought I would try to sharpen one of the original blades to see if it could give a good shave. No, it could not. Very much like a Rolls Razor, for all its complexity and ingenuity the blades are simply not sharp enough. Worth a try, now in the post off to @bald as

Same setup as yesterday, different picture. If this soap were the only one I had, I could easily live with that.

Pre-shave:- Hot shower
Brush:- Grizzly Bay w/ Fanchurian knot
Soap:- Taylor’s OOBS - Shaving Shop
Razor: Pearl - Flexi (V2)
Blade: Gillette - 7 O’Clock Yellow
Tonic: Lucky Tiger - Post Shave Tonic
Moisturiser: Neutrogenia - Hydroboost

5 days of growth since the last shave!

Managed to grab a Pearl Flexi V2 off of market place this week. Having read Errol’s review of the V1 and the V2 I thought I’d give it a go. I’ve never owned or used a flexi razor before.

It was a very enjoyable shave - I started on level 3 and the whole shave felt nostalgic of my first few Merkur 34c shaves. The Pearl is a weighty beast and has a short stubby handle. I’m looking forward to creeping up the blue exposure over the next few shaves :)

It’s also been a long time since I’ve used a Taylor’s of old bond street shave cream. Got a magnificent thick cream
