That boar knot is getting too floppy for a big lofted, looking like a bloody paint brush.
Looks good to me. A floppy brush is a fine thing if you like scrubbing to make your lather. Or even if you don't.That boar knot is getting too floppy for a big lofted, looking like a bloody paint brush.
I don’t like a face slapping sloppy boar paint brush.Looks good to me. A floppy brush is a fine thing if you like scrubbing to make your lather. Or even if you don't.
G’day Speedmaster. Can’t say I have tried the new Valobra soap. I can say, however, that the discontinued Valobra Glicerlanolina, which I use as a pre-shave, can also be used to shave directly with. It is the classic tallow-glycerin-lanolin base.@TomG have you tried the new formula Valobra bath soap as a shaving soap?
Yeah nah. It is a little floppy but I don't mind it. It's a cheap Yaqi knot and while it starts out relatively soft it fails to evolve, like a decent boar, into something great. That boar knot is getting too floppy for a big lofted, looking like a bloody paint brush.
A straight trifecta
Pre-shave: Shower
Brush:- Mastro Livi 24 mm super badger
Str8:- Mastro Livi Grifetto 6/8
Soap:- P.160 - Tippo Morbido
Aftershave:- Cella
In memory of my dear departed father, who finally gave up the spirit after 2 year fight with lung cancer and chemo last week, I have been wearing a trimmed beard in the style he wore for the last few decades. After the service on Friday took to the beard like a hot knife through butter with P160 and Grifetto touched up on a thurry.
So sorry for your loss.A straight trifecta
