thought I'd start a thread where you can share a little of the shit you wish you could do, or stuff you will do - a.k.a. is on your bucket list - before you become fertiliser...

First example, I've never surfed and this makes me really wonder why the hell not! Man that Green Room must be such a buzz....

Great idea for a thread AND an approach to life.

A few years back I recall reading about how we tend to specialise in our careers as we get older and have fewer and fewer chances to do something completely new in any area of life.

Since then I done stuff others probably think is ho-hum such as

  • Bridgeclimb in Sydney (I'm afraid of heights)
  • Impro drama course (never done ANY drama in my life but a great exercise in thinking on your fet)
  • Horse-riding (NEARLY fell off but managed not to)
  • Sky-diving (did I say I was afraid of heights?)

Surfing looks VERY cool but I suspect I'll be hopeless. I am committed to learning to dance with my wife before our kids get married and have promised my son we would do an intro course at the local gun club (go on @gthomas04, say it) but I have nothing immediate on my agenda (expect my Masters I suppose ...)

OK.
When you have completed these aims you will need a very large business card. eg @Mark1966 RTSBSBCHCMS (MA) very impressive really :)

I have surfed and sucked at it, but did have some fun moments in the tube before I went for a spin cycle.

My main thing was taking up guitar. I'd love to get good enough to perform, but I can barely find a band to learn to get comfortable and play with, so it's unlikely to happen.

Overcome this black dog enough to have the confidence to attempt something life changing (realistically if it works out, it would hold the potential to change many a life in ultimately, a positive manner).

Great responses here fellas.
I'm sure I wasn't supposed to laugh at your post @SchoolForAnts , but fuqme that was funny!....unless you work in Canberra of course and then....

I'm not sure I understand the letters mate - please explain S-L-O-W-L-Y ....

That standing backflip looks cool - but impossible :(

Bah…

As you ramble on through life brother, whatever be your goal
Keep your eye upon the doughnut, and not upon the hole.

Though maybe thats the problem ..? ;)

Shave with a straight - maybe ....

I'd love to see the Northern Lights.

Glad to help.

Still live though, there's other things to do and see. And everyone wants their soap orders yet :sneaky:
