SYD SYDNEY Meet up Saturday April 7th

First of all apologies for the phone camera pictures, however I thought these were worth a couple of pictures of todays meetup.

In what can only be described as unexpected, a fellow member @borked shared one of his other passions at the meetup today - collecting torches. A veritable collection of specialist illumination instruments of varying focus, lamp, power-source and 'spec'. A definite tactical feel, Neil's understanding and explanation as to these devices was nothing short of exhaustive and is shared as I understand it, by others in torch related forums.

A refreshing change, something interesting and something very different :)

It was great to see you all there, I gave out samples of the new F2 AP Reserve Soap base fragranced with 'Ozymandias' and recipients are free to use them and post them in their shave of the day pictures, along with the EDP fragrance samples as they see fit. Mix and match as you like, Ozymandias is a Winter fragrance but the soap performs superbly under any conditions and I look forward to hearing your thoughts and seeing your pictures.

Both @Monsta_AU and @RustyBlade had new timepieces I believe too.

I will make room in my diary for Saturday 5th May (?) for the next meetup @Snooze and let's see if we can't organise another Sydney gathering!

I found it very enjoyable and relaxing to step away from the keyboard (and the scales) and step back from AP Reserve for a couple of hours to catch up and share what was new and say hello IRL.

Great meetup chaps, look forward to seeing you next month :)

I daren’t take the Alpha on, he’d square me away no bother. I’ve started him at Rugby and created an animal.
I have included an ADP Essenza Shower Gel and Balm for you though, because I’m good like that.
You Sir, are a dead set legend :)

Thanks @todras ... as always a very entertaining and informative catch up. I may even say "illuminating " into the shadowy world of torch lovers...we certainly got more odd looks from bar staff than when we just have razors and shaving soap on the tables :D

The new winter scents from APR are IMHO the best yet - deep rich and complex - perfect for colder weather. (y)

Hear hear, definitely an unforgettable afternoon learning about torches and burning our eyes out.
Though the highlight (sorry @borked) were the new APR scents, testers in beta phase and introduction to the new APR soap and AP Reservep range.
Very promising and a couple of scents that nailed it for me and hopefully for others too.
Learnt a couple of things about fragrances but still a noob to it all and my nose knows what it likes but unable to discern the individual scents like others do.
Came away with a tester frag for Reserve Essential #1 as I got mugged for the rest of samples that Dan shared  probably a good thing as I'm on a sabbatical anyway.
BTW the cheeky @todras & @Monsta_AU tricked me in to losing my sabbatical for a few seconds. Though they were remorseful and rescinded their act of malevolence. :finger::ROFLMAO:
Good afternoon with the boys and very exciting year for APR and for us the customers.

Don't take away my one joy!!

APR scents are good, put your money away fellas. May even hit the F2 soap sample in the morning and see how it goes.

As it came out at the meet, I have a new horological acquisition on pre-order and as a result I will have one or possibly two pieces up for grabs.
