What do you have in the post right now?

Good stuff! Yeah, would be cool if you make a post about it.

I have a pair of Ironheart 21oz denim myself.
I’m looking forward to it, I haven’t ever really been into denim beyond buying a pair of Levi’s occasionally and thinking they are the pinnacle of jeans.. how wrong I was.

How do you like the heavy weight denim? I hear ppl say it’s too stiff, too uncomfortable etc etc to my mind I don’t think I’d care other than they would be too hot in summer

This one used to be mine. Thanks to good people still roaming the face of this Earth, in a couple of days it'll be mine again. The day I heard about Jenes Sándor's untimely passing, I knew I had to try and get it back. I don't think I'll ever be able to repay this favour.

It takes bit of breaking-in but that’s part of the fun.

I’m no expert, but apparently if you hold off washing it for as long as possible you get the nice fades and honeycombs.

Don't you think you might be going a bit overboard? You already have hundreds of soaps you'll never finish in your lifetime. (When did you last finish a soap? If ever?)
I've sold all my Declaration Grooming 21 tubs two months ago, next Barrister & Mann and I'm still thinking about it.

Excuse me I'm keeping all my tallow versions of Tabac, Sir Irisch Moos, MWF, D.R. Harris, Haslinger Schafmilch and Valobra all TALLOW.
Fair enough. I could probably shave with just my little stash of Valobra and Yardley until my mid-70s, with a bit of help from DRH and a few blow-ins for variety...

I've had a few friends and relations dropping like flies lately, so I've become more conscious that I'm not going to live forever, and I've no-one to leave this kind of stuff to. I guess if I get sufficient notice of my impending demise, I could put together a bequest package to offer here, if here is still here, as it were, when the time comes...

An @Gargravarr P&C wet shaving will, good, just make sure I get all the Valobra ...... Thank you my good Tassie friend

Wow, what a beauty
She is indeed.

Back in the day, when I was younger and a bloody idiot (SO unlike now, I am a bit older these days), I didn't get on with this razor. It was part of a group buy, but it was completely custom made to my liking. I sold it to a lovely Gentleman in the States. We kept in touch ever since.

When I approached him with my desire to repurchase the razor, I let him know that his price would me mine, no questions asked.

He grabbed the razor, packed it and sent it back to me, wouldn't hear of selling it to me.

He used to be quite active on B&B, nowadays not so much, goes by the nick of @evnpar.

Cheers Richard. My first shave with it (which will be my return to straight razor shaving after this unwanted hiatus), and every single one after that, will be in your honour. 🤗🤗🤗🤗

I have dibbs on @SpeedyPC Sir Irisch Moos:censored:. Lets give a big shout out to tallow mountain. For me its not that its good soap. There are other new soaps that are great. It really comes down to the reasons why I like vintage stuff. Whether it be clothes, razors, pens etc. That little bit of usable history.

I do hope this hiatus is the last. I'm impressed with your friend's generosity, that must surely rack up a few karma points. :)

I'm still working my way through soaps that I purchased when joining this forum back in late 2017 so why anybody would need tens of soap is mind boggling as it takes effort to finish a single tub of soap but YMMV... 🤯

You do shave your whole bloody head and face .... Right? What about your bum and crotch?

Nah, I won't hear of it buddy!
You've still got a ton of shaves to go.

When I pass I am thinking of leaving all my stuff to my nephews. They're gonna wanna be into wet shaving, music, movies, gaming, lego, computers and whatever else I randomly collected over the years. hahaha. I am sure I will have a ton of various blades available for them. My last rough count of blades I was in easily over 5000 blades I think. hahaha. Madness!

I grabbed 3 pucks of the fat. I would have gotten more but I had a good long look at my pile of Tabac and did the numbers. Sobering when you realise the pile will probably outlast you. Damn that Prufrook. Ah well at least its excellent coffee, booze and shaving soap.
