Which browser is best?

The thread title says it all really.

I'm currently using Firefox because:

• I don't want to be tracked (as much) by Google, and
• If people don't use alternatives we will be stuck with fewer choices.

Without getting into a fanatically war about browsers - is there a 'better' option?

What browser do you use and why?

I'm not keen on being tracked, but I like the speed of Chrome.

The good news is that the basic code is open source as Chromium (without Google's proprietary additions) and is perfectly usable. Chromium is my first choice for my Linux boxes.

On my Android devices (which also, incidentally, run on a Linux kernel) I like to use Kiwi, another variant on the same code, which (unlike Chrome) allows you to use desktop extensions, with a focus on speed and privacy.

I've recently changed from Edge to Firefox on my personal computer and use DuckDuckGo as my search engine.

On my phone, it's DuckDuckGo

I have to use Edge at work for CM9. At home I tend to use Chrome in the PC and have Midori on my phone, sometimes have to switch to Chrome to get something to work.

Home also runs everything through a PiHole.

Not a bad idea at all. Though if you can run OpenWRT on your router, it becomes redundant.
