absolutely no effort in today's shot (apologies), but the wife and I were up 13 times with sick kids last night, so little to no energy. Shave was good though.
Tough gig, hopefully our little one doesn't get too many night long illnesses. Feeling for you. Head hurts just thinking about sleep deprivation. :inpain:

Soap: Soap by Luna - Fauno
Brush: Vie Long Black Horse
Razor: Colonial General
Blade: Schick Proline (5)
I love this sport! Luna's soaps are lovely to use. The General has still got it! The Vie Long is enjoyable to use. Nice way to start the day when a shave comes together, plus it's Friday!
Yes the General is very efficient and lovely shaver for 'SE month'. Used my Aluminium one twice this week with a used blade from last year and still kicking goals. Was rather surprised as it already had 10 shaved on it.

I love this soap! I'm not buying any more soaps for this year otherwise I would have added a full tub to my den!

I had to pull out the Asylum after @Errol 's review yesterday. Lovely shave. What was a pleasant surprise was Camphorwood Rocker is much more recognisable to the design scent. Apparently it just needed a 'Do Not Disturb' sign so it could do it's thing. So very happy shave this morning.

As Melbourne has been having some very English weather lately, I reached for an appropriate soap and balm. I like the DR Harris Arlington scent, but the cream is easy to overload which I did again today, resulting in enough lather to shave a platoon. Nice lather, though. The TOBS Jermyn St balm was a good match. The razor/blade combo had no trouble with two days growth.

Pre: Glycerine soap

Nacet blades are overrated!
I can feel the edge degradation on just the second shave whereas the Polsilver remain sharp and buttery smooth for 7+ shaves!

Today's shave felt like a Polsilver on it's 7th or so shave.

Razor: RAW RS-10, Mild Plate
Blade: Feather
Bowl: Handmade bowl, Mk3
Brush: RazoRock Silvertip Synthetic
Soap: Stirling Executive Man
Post: Stirling Executive Man balm
WTG, ATG, touch up with adjusted angles for my beard.
Third use of the Stirling Executive Man soap, no issues whatsoever. Its slick, performs well and has a little residual slickness for touch ups.
As expected the balm scent matches the soap. A little goes a long way, not greasy at all and hydrates the skin nicely.

This Murphy & McNeil duck and beef tallow soap is really excellent! It’s very soft in texture and can be scooped with ease if desired or as I do, load with a dry brush but dipped the brush tips in water to load very lightly from the tub. Spread the paste onto the face and then add water and lather up! It’s very nice to shave with and scent is great too! Slickness is top notch and post shave I would deem similar to Stirling or Grooming Dept duck bases.

Well worth getting some to try out!

Ah the favourite smelling (and performing) aftershave I own! It’s ideal for these super cold wet and windy Melbourne days!

Hey @todras heres a thought! Produce a scent profile and call it by an Aussie city that makes you think of that city’s distinguished feature.

I’m sure the Darwin guys would love to use a highly mentholated ‘crocodile’ smelling soap, or a pineapple scented Brisbane one. Adelaide could be ‘church’ scented?
