WOW - that just oozes class right there.

Connaught was doing 125g of Vitos Super/Vitos Super Coco with the wooden bowls for £3.60 so I could not resist, they are a really nice wooden bowl :)

They still may have some, last time I checked they had sold out. Postage was a few bucks so it was a good buy, both of the soaps are superb if you like Italian stuff.

Lazy Sunday mid-morn shave

Pre: Cold water face wash & Beard Oil
Razor: Yaqi SS Eden with OC melon head
Blade: Feather - Man I like these blades, quite similar to the Perma Sharp but maybe a fraction sharper.
Brush: Yaqi Marpat Synthetic Cashmere & Boss
Soap: Proraso Red, Hmmm I like their soaps will have to try their creams...I used this yesterday but I do like sandalwood
Post: cold rinse, alum wipe and Tea Tree/Witch Hazel splash.

Sitting here lamenting that I didn’t shave already today! Took yesterday off on purpose but if I shave now, tomorrow’s shave will be poor.
I’ll just put up with the rough face for another day and go at three days with an open comb first thing tomorrow.

lol I always have enough growth for shaving, @ school my nickname was wolf or wolfman hence why I'm a daily guy 99% of the time. If I went three days I'd need to get the 4stroke brush cutter out of the shed but sucks having to get a haircut every 2-3 weeks, TG my wife cuts hair well. Which OC you planning on using to mow the growth down.

Undecided on the Karve OC/C or OC/D. My beard at 3 days is probably a 5 day for most others. I shave daily but typically it is always 24 hours apart. By shaving now at 11am, it leaves me with 19 until tomorrow’s before work shave. I’ve considered doing a single pass but then I’ll regret not having a smooth face for the rest of the day!

Stay hairy and it'll be more rewarding/satisfying tomorrow (y) though I'm still a newbie so I look for any excuse to wet shave lol, that and the Yaqi OC/melon head is about as mild a shave as they come. only a 1.5-2 out of 10 at best.

Not just the bowl though mate, the whole thing, the bowl, the Wolfman, the ADP and the subtle little (HUGE!) M&F up the back - very nice

My last 4 shaves have been with Cella soap and LPL Lotion du Barbier samples I was so generously gifted at the Perth Meetup. All shaves were with my SS Colonial General with the same Feather Pro blade from new.

I have always meant to get some Cella but never got around to it. What a moron was I. Just an excellent soap that is very easy to bowl lather and has brilliant cushion and glide. Good slickness but not the most slick I’ve used - but that’s not an issue with this razor combo as you’d be a bit silly to buff. Subtle almond scent at about a 2. I could easily use this everyday.

Now if you like Vetiver as much as me then the LPL lotion is brilliant. It’s 85% vetiver and 15% rosemary to my nose and no sting or brace whatsoever. Nice post shave feel for a sample and strong scent for the first hour. I’d still prefer a smidge of menthol in this weather. I wouldn’t necessarily purchase because I still have Pork Chop (way better vetiver) and I don’t mind my pores letting me know they’ve been covered in alcohol with a nice sting. But if you don’t have PC then go for it!

So good to have a shave and get rid of Mr Hobo!

The open comb C with a new spoiler simply sluiced through the whiskers. Two passes with very minor touch ups was all I needed to feel myself again.

Mental note to self:
A single pass around midday the day prior would be enough to keep things in check...
