Technically a June purchase but the parcel took it's sweet time getting here from France.

I have some menthol and one soap on the way, and then I think that's me done on the purchasing front until something runs out or breaks.

Egg - I see you are rubbing it into us southerners by framing your blades in a sunhat!

Holy moly guacamole!

When I bought the GBE's, I worked out that I could shave with them exclusively on my normal every second day, new blade every 4th shave rotation until I was 137 years old. I was 31 at the time, so it was literally a century worth of shaving in those two boxes.

Never having tried this aussie soapmakers wares before and having heard good things, I took the plunge in the recent clearance sale. Wishing I had kept the stout cream in my order now but there you go.

It was love at first sight! I wished I had bought a larger knot though. This is only 3mm smaller than my CH2.. But looks heaps smaller. See what happens when it blooms and besides, face feel is what counts. A dry test straight of the box tells me it's nice and soft with good backbone which was my goal so very happy.

Tax time coming up... Maybe I'll get another, larger. [emoji850]

24mm Silvertip 2 band, 52mm loft.

Love that handle. Can't wait to hear about how it performs!

Congratulations - looks beautiful and there is no doubt the performance will be outstanding (y)

Oh, mate! You'll love it. It was my favourite b&w film when I was shooting on film.

What he said!!! I know someone who has several rolls of HP5 Plus left... out of date 2 and 4 years out of date but well worth the risk. Your post has inspired me to take up his offer to sell me a couple of 2 years OOD. Fortunately I still have four Nikon film bodies. While I do a lot of digital B&W by way of Photoshop, the finished product is never quite the same as Ilford!
