What they said ^^^

The 1940s Super Speed is a GREAT and under-rated razor IMHO. I would be happy with one of those as a birth year razor.

Of course the pick would be the President (nickel) or Diplomat (gold) - the premium products of that era.
See it started simply and innocently enough, with a razor to be had for $20 or so…and then quickly degenerated into razors for a couple of hundred. Oh @Mark1966 I thought you were one of the good guys - but yet another enabler

Delivered today. Thanks to @Monsta_AU for the heads up. 5 blades in total.

Thanks guys for all that advice but I may have to put it off until I move as the arrival dates from the USA would probably put me somewhere between houses.

But I now know what to look for so thanks for all the great advice.

The razor is as clean and sparkling as you could get on the outside but I am guessing it may be gunked internally due to the minor and somewhat insignificant and also intermittent problem.

I might try an ultra sonic bath anyway and see what happens. I wouldn't think it could hurt.

Thanks.
