Paste & Cut Travelling Box #3 - Reviews and Comments

Oh FFS!
FF has crashed thrice now in attempting to post this :(

Slip Original Source Limes, Dove bar or Shaver Heaven - The Teller; Simpsons Polo 8 in Best or Plisson Synth, applying the Dr Jons in the box.
Sharp Schick Injector with unknown blade.
Soothe Myrsol Antesol or Faena Citrus.

Am posting in a deliberately fragmented method to prevent having to type out everything again if FF crashes... again!
Love the Shaver heaven bath soaps, the teller grew upon me and quickly too.
I thought from it's description, it wouldn't be for me, how wrong I am!
Dr Jons has little scent to me beyond why I identify as it's base formula notes, as they're very similar to what's in my Hydra.
It didn't perform as well as my Hydra does though, weird.
Schick Injector is a no go.
It improved with experience with it, yet so did the Gem, which out shaved it at every stage.

Myrsol and Faena are likely future purchases.

What I gained from this experience, is a realisation that since inception of shaving in my life, it's almost exclusively, bar the last few years, been electric face mutilators.
Due to this, my technique and thus I suck at this gig.
Yet I enjoy the scents, building mountains of lather, the masculine aspect of grooming with deadly implements and the pursuit of perfection.
I do have to admit that I do note improvements since the last box.
Progress is a positive and I'm sticking with this until I run out of soap/blades or brushes, so I'll be around for a while :p

I am going to take the chance to finalise this journey, by thanking those that contributed and @Mark1966 for administering this.
I sincerely appreciate each and every one of your contributions towards this :)

@SydBJW I do believe that it's only fair that since I usurped you, this reverts back to you.
Expect to hear from me soon mate and enjoy :)

BTW, I added something for the tail end of this box and a few future one's at that :)

Forgot to mention that I also tried the Floid Vigoroso (sp).
Stale elderly urine and broken dreams is what the scent reminds me of.
No thanks, even despite workable menthol content.

I have the Box! Many thanks to a hand delivery by @SydBJW yesterday.

I've had a quick rifle through and have a few goodies to try. It's great having such a large selection of soaps, aftershaves and even razors! Many thanks to @Mark1966 for putting it together.

First shave with 'ingredients' from the P&C Travelling Box.

The Shaving Shop Casablanca - This is apparently The Shaving Shop's "Signature Scent" which consists of "Cavendish, Arabian Rose, Smoke, Saffron and a Touch of Honey". Certainly pleasant to my nose! I bowl-lathered some and it gave a good shave. Not as protective as others, but not too bad. I probably could have worked in more water for a slicker shave as well. Like most soaps made by PAA/Crown King that I have used, the scent is strong and hangs around a little post-shave.

Aesop balm - officially it is called "Moroccan Neroli Post-Shave Lotion". Kind of gives an idea of the scent profile. I found it a bit thicker and slower to absorb into the skin in comparison to my personal Gold Standard (TSW ASB - available VERY soon I hear!!!). Overall not bad, but I like other balms more.

I've been sick so haven't gotten to that many goodies. I'm handing it over tonight so hopefully you'll get more reviews.

It's got an amazing assortment of gear here! I've used a fair bit already (does that me a veteran?!?) but if I hadn't tried some of this gear I'd be like a kid in a lolly shop!

Oh, and an apology - well, more of an admission of fault - to @khun_diddy and @alfredus as I got my "types" of Schick injectors muddled up. I haven't tried an L type so I shouldn't criticise it! I don't know what I used (perhaps an M type?!?) but if the one in the box is an L type then I haven't *yet* used it. It turns out I DO have one, but I just haven't used it yet...

Sorry to hear that mate :( Hope you are on the mend.

Yep - an OLD MAN in shaving terms :)

Hopefully some things that are new to you.

Thanks. I certainly am now... *Phew*
(A recent shave took over 4 days of growth in 2 passes! I'm lovin' the #77 paired with a vintage blade!)

Hopefully some things that are new to you.
Yep. Plenty of goodies that are new to us oldies!! [emoji13]

For a moment i thought the missing box had turned up.
