As most straight razor shavers know, the shorter your whiskers the more difficult it is to shave. I had this problem this morning after my S.K. Colling SR shave yesterday. I still only had a DFS- finish to shave this morning. For this morning's shave, I selected a Gold Dollar 66 (see PIF No. 11 to get your own) that I had re-scaled in golden wattle timber and treated with a CA (cyanoacrylate) finish. This razor, with its diamond pasted balsa finish, performed flawlessly. Even the fool's pass was like a squeegee cleaning glass.

Nostalgia...
Easter Sunday and I shaved with my father's Schick Type E Injector given to him by my grandparents on his 16th birthday in 1939. As far back as I can remember, he shaved with an electric razor and only used the Schick for a really close shave on special occasions like dinner parties, weddings, anniversary, scheduled sex, etc. I always knew when he used it because he would walk around the house with little bits of toilet paper stuck to his face and smelling of "Old Spice".

Shave Report: A lovely shiny, creamy, medium density lather. The lather gave me excellent slickness & protection, post shave feel was great. To me the scent is bright sweetish berry fruit forward aroma with greenish scented background, scent strength 4/10. Overall an awesome smooth, clean & close shave from the Henson ++ and Dorco blade.
