Pre: Warm Shower
Razor: 73 Black Beauty
Blade: Gillette Spoiler
Brush: Yaqi Tuxedo 26mm
Soap: MdC Argumes
Post: XXX Splash

Awesome mild shave on setting 6, yeah I ended up going like 5 passes but they were all mild. Was starting to think MdC was overhyped but today was the first time I got an amazingly slick lather from the soap.

Pre-shave: Warm Water
Brush: Razorock Plissoft
Soap/Cream: Stirling -Varen
Razor: Charcoal Goods/WCS - Lithe head / Razorock Handle
Blade: Astra Superior Stainless (3)
Post-shave: Stirling - Varen Post Shave Balm

3 pass + touchups BBS. Exceptional performance from the Mutton tallow base, a very dark, mossy, complex fougere. The balm performance is top notch, scent Is very one dimensional, different to the soap, and not to my liking.

great to hear that MdC is starting to come around

Pre-shave: Hot shower
Brush: Turn-N-Shave Full Moon knot
Soap/Cream: B&M Cheshire
Razor: Smart-Helix Apollo Light (aggr. plate)
Blade: Gillette Rubie (1)
Post-shave: Pinaud Clubman musk / Armaf Club de Nuit

Still looking for redemption for the Rubie blades so tried the Apollo and B&M, surely a slick combination. Nope, started badly with lots of tugging and
took the top off a recently healed war wound. More than half way through I decided that the Rubies might be bin bound, but then... a little wiggle from the razor.
Damn! I had forgotten to fully tighten the handle! Fixed that, but had little acreage left to work with so decided to do an ATG pass which I rarely bother with.
Things went much better from here on in, but as most of the shave was already completed I have decided a rematch is in order! I have to say though, the result was damn near BBS!

I haven’t used this razor for so long that I had forgotten how smooth and efficient it is.

Learnt a new lesson today: If you stretch the skin and shave with a straight. Don't release the skin until finished and razor lifted, or you slice

Prep: Valobra Glycerlanolina soap, Myrsol Emulsion
Brush: Semogue Owners Club LE 2012 Mixed Badger/Boar
Soap: Barrister and Mann Terror
Razor: Wilkinson Sword Sticky
Blade: Vintage NOS Wilkinson Sword Light Brigade (3)
Post: Thayers Cucumber Witch Hazel; Stetson Aftershave Splash
Scent: Aramis Havana

It is nice to use a blade within the razor that it was designed for. A supremely comfortable yet close three pass shave.
I really like the scent of the Terror soap; well imagined by Will at B&M.

Great stuff with the Sticky and Light Brigade!

How does it feel to be wearing that Stetson mate?

Pre: Shower + PAA Prickly Pear mentholated pre-shave soap

Finally finished one of my first ever artisan soaps and I rate it middle of the range with a sweet scent...

Brush: Yaqi 30 mm Tuxedo
Face: Charcoal Goods Gen 1 Level 2 Antique Brass + Stinger V1 handle (P&C 2019/20 Charity Auction LE)
Blade: Gillette Silver Blue (4)
Soap: Face Fat Green Fougere
Pre: Shower + PAA Prickly Pear mentholated pre-shave soap
Post: Brut aftershave lotion // Stirling Soap Co. Unscented balm
ATG, XTG, WTG = BBS

Moved onto the next soap I'm planning to use up as I'm not a big fan of the earthy scent. Performance wise the vegan base is fabulous but really need to use existing soap up prior to adding new ones to my collection... Happy shaves!
