Smashed the APR Santal! Guess you are ready for the batch.
How many tubs do you go through a year? As APR Santal was only a couple of months ago.

razor:cjb shavette
blade: schick p30
brush:maggard synth 26mm
cream: aqua di parma
post: nivea sensitive/festivus edp
getting a bit better on my third shave with this razor first pass was completely blood free and second pass xtg only one micro nick and a couple of small bleeders.so far so good but i need to give my face a chance to heal from poor technique.enjoying the festivus im not normally a fan of pine type scaents but this one seems more like fresh pine shavings and some other kind of wood shavings rather than the pinetarsol effect i get from pine scents generally.it makes it lighter and more welcoming to me.

This is old school APR Santal.
I’ve never kept track but I wouldn’t be surprised if it was in the region of 100gms monthly.

I don’t actually own many soaps these days.

2 x My own Oud
Kemi Tempest
APR Santal
P&B Spitfire

I will most definitely need to find a new Sandalwood soap very shortly but I’m not putting up with any old shit.

When it comes to Sandalwood, I won't bloody well work with any old shit either. Any old shit is the problem that plagues most Artisan releases including the quality of the oils people are using even if they are not Sandalwood. There are grades of every single essential oil and most people are using commercial if that because they are cheaper.

Soap: Squadron Coronet Fougere
Post: Squadron Coronet Fougere splash

Loved the Squadron Coronet Fougere kit, you nailed it @SchoolForAnts. Second shave with the RAW RS-10, this time with the mid aggressive plate loaded. As to be expected this plate was more aggressive but still smooth. I could have stopped at one pass for a DFS but went for a second for a BBS. Early days with this razor but my preference would be the mild plate as a daily driver.

Superspeed 1952
Blue Blade 1951 X-2
Williams Mug Soap
Phoenix Shaving - The Green Hornet
Vintage Skin Bracer

I used the Blue Blade for 2 WTG passes then switched for a Perma-Sharp because the XTG on the neck area was a bridge too far for the old codger.
With the tough work out of the way, the Perma-Sharp mowed down the remaining hairs like there were none. Not the smoothest start, but a very pleasing end result.

Do you strop your carbon steel blades?
I could be wrong, yet they look like the type that you can sharpen multiple times, utilising those quirky devices you see on eBay for loose change.

Pre-shave: Hot shower
Brush: Thater boar shaving brush
Soap/Cream: Phoenix & Beau Spitfire shaving soap (1st batch)
Razor: Vintage NEW head on TSW Bren handle
Blade: Vintage NOS Gillette Super Stainless (7)
Post-shave: Phoenix & Beau Spitfire aftershave lotion
Fragrance: Phoenix & Beau Spitfire solid cologne

Chocks away, nearly the weekend!

Great shave from this great setup. It was a full P&B Spitfire set until @Kerry@Phoenix&Beau went and released a splash after my visit to the UK earlier this year. We must get their release schedule aligned with my initernational travel better.

What's your feedback regarding the solid cologne?
What do you like/dislike about it?
How does it compare to splashes/edt etc?

Really like it. Very different in application to a liquid. I'm not sure how it would work with a more complex multi-layered scent but I think that it carries the Spitfire very well.

Better than a splash? No
Worse than a splash? No

Just different!
