Panic buying...validation..

The local Coles optimistically rolled a pallet of their paper hand towel into the empty toilet paper section..
I won’t be fooled.

Our new 'cabin' at the local lifestyle village is still being built (I call it a 'caravan without wheels' as it seems tiny, only having 2 bedrooms after a few decades of 4 bedroom homes).
I've left it too late to install a bidet (warm water one though).
I think a bidet would completely solve the toilet paper shortage problem.
Then, I suppose, everyone would panic buy bidets and they would become hard to buy too.
We move out soon and will have to spend a few weeks at Daughter's beach house (wahoo!) until the new place is ready.
Hard to beat that. No crowds, no random people with flu symptoms...just us and some seagulls.
Though might have to stay there longer if the virus gets into the local area.
Here it is...

If you had a bidet how would you dry your bum.

Just did a "panic calculation" and based on the number of straights I have and multiplied by the oldest blade [1860] I have blades for the next 3300 years. Most of my hones are natural and over thousands of years old. Soap will be fine as long as I remember where I put the recipe :)
Even if my brushes loose hair faster than me I estimate a lathered face for at least another 200 years. My 4 synthetic brushes will last till the last blade is honed to oblivion.

Even after all my guesstimated stocktaking I still feel twinges of panic. I wonder if Ebay will have to close? Perhaps just one more NOS Japanese straight!!!

Good thinking @bald as ! Most sensible idea I’ve heard all weekend amidst the craziness going on around.

The world is going nuts, everyone is getting sucked up in a panic tsunami. Yesterday, I went to one of the nearby super-market to buy 1x 8kg of rice (Just in case). Today, many many shelves are empty and there are 1-2 hours lineups. I’ve never seen this, not even 20 years ago during the Great Ice Storm which left us without electricity for 3 weeks in the middle of winter.
We had a Great Ice Storm? Cooool. Which state was this in?

Better send a few old razors and hones my way or after the pandemic I'll have a beard like @Gimli before The Greatest Shave

They almost fool me :oops::banghead:
It was so sad. Little kids where all
“Mummy, look look toilet paper!”
Their little hearts broke right in front of my eyes.

I’ve seen the whole toilet paper’s section in the supermarket filled with chocolate Easter Eggs, I hope the kids aren’t confused between toilet paper’s vs chocolate Easter eggs

Whilst we can put our hands together and hope for the best, I hope those running the show put their heads together and have already planned for and started taking appropriate actions for the worse case scenario.

I'm pretty much in the middle geographically of where the girls punched on at Chullora Woolies and the guys at Bass Hill Woolies.
I've prepared for the worsening conditions and largely self isolating.
I do not want to be in desperate panicking crowds.
