Just looking at that, I would guess that would have to have been made round about when I was born ('63).

SOTD tomorrow. I'm guessing this razor was made in the 1930's-40's and the edge wasn't "shave ready", but in really good shape. I ran it over my Hard Black Arkansas and then diamond pasted balsa. Now it is popping hairs.

Will you strop on leather before the shave, looks a nice grind, just wondering if it will sing?

My standard routine is 25 laps on firehose followed by 50 laps on horsehide.

I don’t wear my hearing aids when shaving, but I will put them in before stropping and then let you know in my SOTD post.

Not exactly an acquisition - more of a re-acquisition. Some may remember my loss of all my Spoilers, sllick Shicks and various other blades. Yesterday my wife comes out of the junk room with a box full of all the above. My cup runneth over

Yeah I saw that but it’s 3 times more than I paid for the one I just grabbed. I paid less than that for the fancy made Wade UK mug and soap.

Well done, yes some people want $$$’s, my max “to spend” criteria is 25% more than a tub of B&M Spice, as to date it’s the closest I’ve found/tried to my 60’s n 70’s Original OS, again IMHO.

Yeah that seems a good rule of thumb. It’s nice stuff to be sure but there is a lot of good soap out there.
