Picked up NOS brush today. Interesting handle colour. The brand is 'Fortune', never heard of them myself.

It finally arrived 1 day before the expected day on tracking from AuPost!
At first sight I thought there could be a mistake, because of the size of the parcel, but not, it was mine, and the size was due to the carefully packaging for avoiding damages to the products, from TSW (excellent, as always)

Apart of the unmistakable products, the brush is number 2000 (semogue), and there was a sample from Grooming dep "Neroli di Bois"

A few things gifted during and post Festivus to add to the list.
- 2x APR orders totalling 4x sets inc Australians All
- Ikon X3
- Ikon Shavecraft 102
- Ikon SE handle
- 200 Gem ptfe SE blades
- Holy Black SR71 DE razor

Gifted myself a vintage TTO open comb Gillette and 6x Holy Black pomades.

Mail Call:- Today I received two brushes from classicshop2012 via eBay online click here, on the left is the Maseto Extra Density 2 Band Finest Badger 24/54mm knot and on the right is the Maseto 2 Band Finest Badger Horn 30/54mm knot see 2 image below. I give these brushes below a real good clean before I used the brush.

For some reason the 24/54mm bloom of the Extra Density 2 Band Finest Badger looks better than the 30mm on the right, I can see the 2 Band Finest Badger Horn 30/54mm knot doesn't have enough bloom and splay to allow enough flow through when face lathering. @alfredus do you bowl or face lather with you're Maseto 2 Band Finest Badger 30mm knot and is there enough flow through for face lathering, I'm interested in you're feedback...... Cheers (y)

@todras does the splash & EDP contains alcohol?? otherwise I'm going to ask you how on earth did you allow these to be ship from USA to Land of OZ ??

Of course they contain alcohol, it is a splash and an EDP.

I used an approved carrier for Class 9/Class Y Dangerous goods, both DHL and FedEx are approved carriers.

To ship using this class you will firstly need to be completely competent with the compliance requirements (full and exhaustive SDS and packing) and secondly be able to afford the expense which is considerable, I add on personal shaving items to my perfume compound requirements for APR. An average shipment runs to around $350.00 USD in shipping charges.

@todras yes it is odd that quite a few think alcohol can not be freighted to Australia. Just need to pay more for the right service and meet their requirements (y)

Oh and thankyou for today's purchaes ;)

99% of US vendors will not sell an alcohol based aftershave/EDP to a non US address as the Class 9 shipping option is very difficult to comply with and it is very expensive. Shipping alcohol out of the US illegally attracts really severe penalties too, they are super strict on compliance at USPS. The perception is there as the retailers (quite understandably) don't want the hassle and expense of offering it.

You can ship most things just about anywhere using airfreight, it's all down to safe materials handling and understanding the very complicated compliance requirements both in the country of export and in the country you are importing to, we have fairly strict requirements too - if you get it wrong, you lose your shipment.
