mine is an instant purring machine, sometimes even purrs when i just speak to him. very loving but also very very cheeky. The dog and cat have had a few small positive encounters of late and the cat even walked up to where i was with the dog and let her smell him. i reckon they will be all good by end of week. This was the reason i picked him out of the rest of the litter, quite brave and very

Nowadays I believe the current thought is not to wait unless you plan to breed as stats show that the more seasons a bitch has the possibility of Ovarian cancer increases until after several seasons the dog will develop cancer.
I do not know if this translates into the same for felines,but the average life span of a cat is approx 12 years if confined to house or yard but if allowed to roam, less than 3 years.
Our neighbours have had 3 cats in 4 years .When one moggy dies there is wailing and knashing of teeth but the replacement kitten is immediately released into a harsh world...Sigh

My ginger cat who recently passed was desexed from young and was only an outside cat, she lived till the ripe old age of 20 (human years)

I have also heard this from the vets, and now if you have a dog/cat on or after 1/7/18 it is compulsory to have them de-sexed by 6 months i believe, unless you are a registered breeder. I fully agree with this method.

was at puppy training the other day and everyone was asked what the average age of a dog was, there were varying answers depending on the breed of dog from owners but the trainers answer surprised everyone. It was 2-3 years. We answered as to how long we thought our dogs would live but the reality is that many dogs/cats are purchased on a whim or looks alone with no research going into specific breeds or animals reproduce and people cant offload the offs springs.

so many end up in shelters and are put down. So de-sexing if not breeding is not only good for the health of your own pet but will reduce the amount of poor animals that need to be put down.
 
14 years living in the tropics (first Cairns, then Darwin), and I have only now bought my first Akubra hat, and then only because I found an all but new Territory (bar some mould) in an Op Shop for $15!
Anyone here that can recommend methods to remove the mould?

The other one is more friendly to me, came to see me and purr quite a bit. On the other hand, when I hold her, she uses its legs to keep me far from its body. If I put her nose-to-nose with me, she will use one of is front legs to try separate or faces pushing my nose back hahaha

I always though of cats as being evil critters that kill lovely birds. It is probably a Karma thing the mood of these two beauties living now here

I agree Aus whisky is $$$. It's all subjective at the end of the day, if you like Laphroaig you should like Black Gates peated whisky.

Never tried a Kavalan as they are so expensive here. Any cheaper in Taiwan? The last time I was out there I wasn't into whisky.

The pro has much better reviews/accuracy than the small one BTW - could be the difference between a nicely cooked and an incinerated steak ;)

Gutted...... my local Woolies have my favourite Thai beer snacks on clearance at a massive markdown, not being one to shy away from a bargain I had to load up and clean house, snagged about 30 tubs which will last me about 6 months.

The checkout girl said something about not enough people buying them, taking up valuable shelf space, probably only be available in the larger stores..... Gutted :(
