Are these type of brushes common in Australia. I've seen more on this site than any American forums. They're are about materials, brushed metals or some clear resin, but you Aussies go for colorful. Nice, real nice and unique.
Thank you @Austinoire - not sure about the whole country, but they can certainly be found in my den :D :D :D

BASTARD!!!!!

I would kill for that!!! What did you say your address was? You obviously have a better class of market than I do!!! Does the pop-up razor holder in the case still work smoothly?

Ironically, I agree, but you guys use of "Bastard" is like the way we use "Dude" but with much more bite, but way short of a vulgar insult. The Brits use "you cheeky bastard". It's also refreshing and endearing to show your RESPECTFUL envy and dismay by shouting out "bastard". It's very humorous to me, because its perfect for the situation always. Sadly, we [Yanks] can't pull it off to that level, we use more vulgar terms like f*cker, motherf $cker, d*ck, etc. I have never regarded it as a curse word due to the inflection, context and tone. So, good on ya!

Damn beautiful...if I do say so. I knew Parker did DEs (I was gifted one recently), didn't know they did SE. Or is that a restored older piece?

This razor was NOS and in excellent condition, it had not been used before so no it's not technically new, but never been used.

2 deliveries this week
1st from @Psmith

The emulsion is awesome. Perfect balm consistency for me. Still prefer the splashes but some days just suit a balm. The Dragon Noir is a complex scent, not in love with it but I'm sure it will grow on me, and thanks for the EJ, very kind of you

2nd was my first Shaver Heaven order, and it sure won't be my last, the scent on the Spiced Mahogany is awesome. And the lather I made this morning was the slickest ever. Post shave my face felt smooth, as if I'd already put my post shave goodies on.
And I grabbed some single edge blades ready for when I finally take the dive and get a Gem or similar after how much I enjoyed the one from the travelling box

Apologies first.

As a newb. I'm curious about a cultural oddity I'm noticing. You guys aren't unique in sharing info, experiences and acquisitions, passing things on and allowing other to sample, to sharing info on a lot of aspects of the shaving worlds.

I guess I'm saying you guys are very comfortable in displaying your shave gears, not as a competition or one up, but more so as a genuine desire to put together and try the best gear (kit). There's very little ego involved from what I can tell so far. Please know that's a hard thing to create. Several of my cigar forums have assh@ts that punish new members for simple mistakes, subtly belittle members for not smoking more expensive purchases nor exchange info to grow the culture with casual smokers. Many seasoned members allow the forum to be taken over by these few cigarnazis-who suck all the fun out of the forum. Wait..oh, my soapbox wobbled a little...guess that's my cue to get off. The shaving forums, both foreign and domestic, have been very welcoming. But, loving this forum so far, despite my initial take.

Oh, we belittle each other alright, and quite viciously at times. But it's all done with tongue firmly in cheek.
Like the Brits, the more we like you, the more you will have the piss taken out of you.

Arrived first thing in the morning. The brush is Maggards 24mm synth brush

Ok. I'm starting to get it. I see all of these amazing hauls (what we call purchases) but you guys are buying more so larger purchases to defray cost like mailing (i.e. to increase value) than just throwing money out of a window. So, when I see a photo like the one shown with three tubs of shave soap. I shouldn't think "hell, he must shave everyday and twice on Sunday to need that much soap". It's a strategic way to get the most value out of a single purchase, making more sense, especially when I was informed that the Aussie currency is not where it should be. Strangely enough, I'd have assumed you guys ALONE were supporting a good section of the Austrailan GDP by yourselves with your purchases and postal costs, but luckily, I've been educated on the art of buying the many fine purchases I've seen flash before my drooling eyes.

No problem. I believe I can take a good ribbing/rolling with the best of them. But, time will tell. I look forward to watching more sparring than participating.

Mate I think you'll find we are all experts at knowing how much to buy to get the best value in shipping costs. Remember, for us, nearly everything we have originated overseas. Everything except @Anthony's excellent Shaver Heaven soaps, which you really need to try.

Several months back, I was fortunate enough to obtain samples of a decent cross-section of premium Colognes and EDPs. I earmarked a few as favourites, but couldn't bring myself to cough up the big bikkies. Well, been working a few trying contracts, so promised myself that I could have one at the successful completion of each. I've just finished the first, so I've splashed out. Yes - I know it's far too much $$ for a fragrance, but it is fabulous. I'm hoping my fellow wet shavers understand my madness. And without further adieu:

Thater 4125/3 2 Band Bulb. 28mm.

Full_Size_Render_1.jpg

This thing is huge, but because of the bulb, feels focussed on my face. And so, so soft. Gel tips.
The handle has been scaled up and feels nice and chunky.

Next to my Chubby 2 to give a sense of scale.

Congrats @Psmith - looks wonderful. Look forward to your thoughts on performance etc.

Holy snikies!!! But, what's life without a little madness. I hope you smell like a wash tub full of unicorns...er, or something more manly, if that's your type of thing. Your postman must think you're the Pablo Escobar of the wet shave world.
