I was a little underwhelmed on first use with the slickness. Really dialled it in the second use and wow, unreal. Still think Jabonman gives me a slightly better shave, but the look of this lather is second to none.

I think you are right. Don't get me wrong, it's good, but maybe just not enough. I love it when it overflows with thick dense lather. I haven't touched my jabonman for a while. Maybe tomorrow!
