Who started this shave voyeur thing? It's taken me until now to realise that it's not some fancy aftershave but somebody is actually witnessing you shave. Haven't you guys got dens? And I'm the uncultured philistine!!

I believe this is down to @Marlow and his interlude with a tradesman. I'd prefer not to get into the sordid details but believe it's an incident documented here on Shave of the Day 2014

What are you on?!

At least @Pjotr put in under "General Discussion" which is very true.

All my fault but it was a true story and I thought it was funny so told you guys about it. You know just for a laugh.

I am not going to mention what happens when the smoke alarm guy turns up next week.

My shaves at times are just unconventional.

It is funny. It allowed us to veer off in to smutsville and potentially take the thread in to forbidden areas where plumbers and pool boys play a major role.

Thanks @Pjotr , I thought that I may have been disgraced in my aspirations to become a true and humble gentleman :) even with the slight touch of implied smut

Well really, if the truth only be known. Though I am sure you blokes get it.

I like the restrained sense of humour here.

Pre-shave: Occam's lime (still not sure what benefit a pre shave soap had but going to persevere to see if I notice anything
Brush: omega 10005
Soap/Cream: Mystery sample that I think might have been martin de candre. It's been there for so long I can't be sure anymore
Razor: red ring eclipse
Blade: I have no idea Schick possibly?
After-shave: Floyd vigoroso
Shave Voyeur: Encouraged the wife but she was having none of it
Time: Not sure, part of the shower routine.

Brush: Vintage butterscotch distressed Culmak reknotted in TGN finest
Soap/Cream: Mike's Natural Shave Soap - Hungarian Lavender (again!)
Razor: Merkur 38C
Blade: Personna Blue Lab - shave 5
After-shave: Old Spice (not vintage NOS)
Shave Voyeur: None - but thinking of setting up a webcam and streaming as a pay per view feed. What do others think?
Time: Approximately 5 minutes
Outside temp: it was a balmy 8 when I walked the dog earlier
UV Index: Who cares?

OK I think I can safely say that the average time is around 5-6 minutes so I can drop that detail in future. Not sure about the streaming idea either.

Should take that format over to ykw ;)

Pay per view sounds ok @Mark1966 but it depends on how much you are willing to pay people.

Depends how your advertise it. "Razor blood sport" ought to do it.

I don't know I was thinking something along the lines of "In a feat of endurance never before attempted @Mark1966 will attempt to shave using a TOTALLY SEPERATE RAZOR for each hair (if the hair on his face is removed before he runs out of razors he will continue on his arms) " now that would bring in the crowds (possibly only the WA guys as they don't really have much of a life) :)

Growth: 7 days
Brush: Omega 31025
Soap/Cream: DR Harris Arlington schtick
Razor: Gillette NEW (UK LC)
Blade: Indian Wilk - shave 3
Passes: 1x WTG, 2x XTG
After-shave: First 5 mins: Proraso Green Splash, then Razorock AS Wax (Original)
Shave Voyeur: The missus interrupted me to use the loo….does that count?
Time: Approximately 20 minutes (including set-up and clean-up)
Outside temp: fucking awful, blowing an icy gale
UV Index: minus nil (see above)

First run with the new Omega, man it's so super soft on the skin. Love the handle! Hate the imitation black boar stripe…WHY? Be what you be!!! Anyway, the boar created and held a nice lather. Thumbs up and I look forward to using it more often - but still love the feel of the Duke 2 in Best on the face. Makes me feel more like a man!

Maiden run with the Arlington. The smell of this stuff is absolutely superb. Hints from the garden and tones of 'new car'. The better half reckons it's a leather smell - she loves it - but to me it's more 'new car' smell….which I reckon's more complex and not a single thing. Arlington lathered beautifully. Gives great glide when wet but not so much cushion, next time I'll try and pile it thicker. Also seemed to dry on the face faster than I'd have liked, but again maybe applying it a little thicker will help.

Only a single tiny little bite from the Indian Wilk in the NEW. These were the first up from the Monsta vintage blade challenge and I find them smooth. Prefer the Indian Wilk in the NEW over the DE89…but then again I'm really coming to love an open comb! I'm getting me more open comb action.

Aftershave routine is becoming samey, but it works. Face feels mighty fine!

Yeah also missed a bit below the nose and lip. Growing the moe (ambitions for a handlebar) and the training wheels/map of tassie under the lip (I refuse to call it a "Soul Patch"). Been curious about what my mug would look like strategically obscured, also helps that I hate shaving under my nose.

Aspiring to your avatar then @stillshunter ????

Awful here in CBR too - same icy gale

Definitely! Like to have half his hair (both facial and cranial) and a third his mind - though not the third he had left after tertiary syphillus turned it to Swiss cheese…poor Nietzsche!

Nothing like feeling like shit (got industrial-strength man flu) while it looks like shit outside (horizontal chards of ice slicing through the air up here - elevation 965m).
To top it off I had to put one of our favourite cows out of her misery an hour or so ago. She fought valiantly but this weather left her little chance! She was getting pneumonia, poor old girl.
Hope to see her again on the happy hunting ground, ah-hoo!

I'm just a smidgen jealous that you have enough land to keep cattle. Barely enough room for a dog and a few chooks here when I get around to getting them both.
