Oh man... that brush is magnificent! But I'm not jealous! No... I'm not jealous! I'm happy for you! Really!
@littleaussiebleeder - this brush flies under the radar, but is a fantastic brush. I rate it alongside my Simpson Chubby - very soft, but also very dense, which provides decent backbone. It was the catalyst that initiated my inexorable slide into wet shaving obsession Or is that oblivion?

Brush: Vintage butterscotch Simpson '46' reknotted in 'pure'
Soap/Cream: Phoenix & Beau Imperial Rum shaving soap
Aftershave Splash: Captain's Choice Bay Rum splash

Usual great performance from the P&B soap @Kerry@Phoenix&Beau!

Hard to tell about the scent with the remains of a cold - will have to keep using until it (the cold) goes ;)

Razor: PILS 118L
Blade: Astra
Soap: Nobles Lime & Lavender
Brush: Pure Tasso
Post: Malizia Uomo

I've long held the theory that the European gentleman are up with the best when it comes to grooming. It follows that the tools they use must be top notch. The PILS does nothing to dispel my theory. Recently I've been using razors with handle diameter in the 12/ 14mm region. Coming back to a handle with an effective diameter of 10mm takes a little adjusting to.

Nice smooth shave and no complaints

There is a problem though, and that's what am I going to do when it runs out because there is no more. I haven't ruled out kidnap.

My own bottles are running low too Steve, it's a dire situation!

I have been eyes and ears all over India looking for the chap who supplied the Mysore but he is off the radar. If he reappears I will do another very, very limited run of 'The Santal' Soap/Splash/EDP immediately as it was such a nice perfume to work with.

Daniel, if you do manage to create it again then you have a 100% repeat customer here, just say the word. The Santal is my favourite purchase of 2017 so far and it's going to take something immense to knock it off top spot.
I'm sat here now about 17hrs after application and I'm still getting that intoxicating scent. Take a bow Daniel, you deserve it.

Pre: Warm Coconut Oil
Soap: Washpool Original
Brush: Zenith Boar
Razor: Brass General
Blade: Feather Super Pro (4)
Post: Jojoba/essential oil/rum mix

Face might be back together enough tomorrow for a straight razor. In the mean time..... it's da General, though I did pull out the Merkur 30c yesterday as an easy going option.

Thank you Steve, I really mean that. I take an immense amount of care with both the Aftershaves and the EDP from aging the perfume base to resting the EDP and Aftershave/EDT itself to ensure correct maturation, roundness of the solution and the fragrance it carries.

A lot of work and love goes into each bottle I make, your comment coming from someone who appreciates the care and enjoys the fragrances are always deeply and genuinely appreciated :)

Razor: Gillette D4 Toggle (2)
Blade(s): Polsilver (1)
Brush: TF Lava Demon 26mm
Soap/Cream: SS "Group Captains Blend"
Post: Dickinsons

Wanted the scent of ol' pipe tobacco this morning and it was nice to step out the shower and take in the smell of Group Captain's Blend. Still trying to work out the brush .. ended up with a little too wet a lather for my liking. Persisted nonetheless rather than start again.

Late shave and didn't shave at all yesterday and with time to spare decided to set the toggle to "2" and go nice and slow and see how I went. As long as I am very careful it is a really nice shave on "2". Wouldn't like to be in a hurry and do that though.

Progress short handle
PolAg (4)
RR Bruce synth
MWF
Nivea sensitive splash

Beautiful, creamy MWF lather today. I absolutely love this soap. Just a little load to get gobs of lather that just keeps taking more and more water!

30th of July, 2017

Razorock "Wunderbar"
Voskhod
Shavemac "D01 2 Band"
Mystic Waters "Lemon Verbena"

First shave since Thursday morning due to an unfortunate toothache. Said toothache lead to a nervous trip to the dentist and resulted in me spending over an hour having my tooth drilled in to and filed into which was not the most exciting experience. Nonetheless the result is no more toothache (although there are several more lengthy trips to the dentist to come unfortunately) so I really felt that I needed a great shave today. The lineup didn't disappoint at all. Spent some serious time building a magnificent lather with the Shavemac and the Mystic Waters. I am relieved that no one purchased the Shavemac when it was up for sale. The brush has some serious density and backbone but
the tips are magnificently soft and display only the smallest amount of scrub. The Wunderbar had little trouble mowing through the whiskers but could have potentially benefited from a sharper blade on the first pass. Turned out a lovely BBS shave and followed up with my favourite lineup of Myrsol Plastic and Myrsol Emulsion. Was a top way to start a lovely and relaxing Sunday.

yeah, sunday, the da of the lord, at least for some, not me, but, it is also the day of relax

I started with a shower, and then...

soap: TOBS avocado
shavette: the bulebeards revenge
blade: Astra green
just for the first pass
rest with merkur 42c and astra blue
after1: the straw whisker balm
after2: foid suave

shavettes are not as bad some people claim xD. It's quite easy actually

Another succesfould shave (no red points or irritatons, and bbs)
