Pre: Pb PSE
Soap: Pb Black Rose
Brush: Zenith Boar
Razor: Fatip Piccolo
Blade: Gillette Spoiler (2)
The Piccolo performance was pretty much as I'd read from another forum, it's not quite as aggressive as the Muhle R41 but is smoother. BBS with multiple passes, clean up and some minor weepers.
The razor being brass (nickel plated) is a nice weight and well balanced, aggressive enough that you have to pay attention but intuitive so no great learning curve.
I'd had these on the wanted list (low priority) for a while and am happy to have picked one up as they are very economical and a very useful mid aggression razor to have in the line up.

I'm enjoying the new soap I made. It is very hard because it favours Sodium Hydroxide but does work well. It just needs more water.
Japanese straight.
Vie Long Horse hair brush
and of course cold water.
Single pass DFS.
Gotta love a straight razor shave :)

When was the last time you’ve had your kitty haircut with your own straight razor, sounds like you’re having fun making your own shaving soaps

Hmmm, today's shave - travel kit without brush I left still drying from the weekend!

Interesting rubbing my face to get a 'lather' - I don't recommend it ...

Pre - hot shower
Soap - Grooming Dept After the Fire
Brush - Yaqi Mysterious Space Tuxedo
Razor - Karve 'B'
Blade - Muhle (found a single loose one laying around)
Post - APR Ozymandia + Soap Commander Respect balm

A respectable shave, but i do think the B plate takes extra work to get a good shave, not quite as 'mindless' as the C. The pro is that the face cops a lesser beating of course.
The blade was destined to be a one and done, and it wasn't bad, but wasn't that great either.
I am letting the scent of the soap grow on me and if you were to smell this without knowing what it was, you'd probably turn your nose up at it. But the smell of it comes second when you realise how great it lathers and the slickness it gives. Then, somehow my nose starts picking out other notes while face lathering and it makes sense to me.

I'm reminded of the 'gatherings' we held in my late teens, early 20s in winter around a fire bucket. I just can't pick out any scents of beer, bundy rum or cannabis....

Soap: Meissner Tremonia - Strong n Scottish
Brush: Omega 10083 Boar
Razor: Dorko 43
Post: Calendula Balm
Brace yer selves laddies, if that isn't a distinctive scent I don't know what is. A bit of whisky, smoky peat and burnt oak to get your day going. There's some faint reminders of wet woollen jumper in there as well.
@tim33z , 'I just can't pick out any scents of beer, bundy rum or cannabis.... ' so.. would that work in a shave soap, it'd have to be an evening shave wouldn't it?...........:)

Razor: Rockwell 6S (R6 plate)

And that's why I carry two shaving brushes, a couple of razors, several tucks of blades and a couple of shaving soaps...........I take this wet shaving business seriously........ Oh, then there's my first travel rule......Never travel lightly.
But then again you are flying......so a concession is appropriate.....maybe a note from your Mum.

Have you tried your toothbrush to build up your lather

No, because I normally have my brush!

Heretic! I'm a travel lightly kinda guy - you would be amazed what you can do with only carry on ...

My downfall was not putting the brush back in my kit after leaving it out to dry when I got home Saturday. I just grabbed the kit because normally it is really to go - rookie mistake
